Delicious Nutrious Yam Porridge

On today's menu, I will be making a simple, delicious and nutritious yam porridge.


Ingredients

1 tuber of yam
1 clove of garlic
5 ripe tomatoes
10 fresh pepper
A small bunch of spinach
Β½ cup of palm oil
Salt to taste

Preparation

I started by rinsing my vegetables

I went ahead to use my hand grater to grate my onion, garlic, tomato and pepper. Then i set it aside.

Then i chopped my spinach

I went ahead to peel the bark off my yam, and cut it into desired shapes

I placed my pot on a low heat, added my oil and allowed it to get hot for a minute before pouring in my tomatoes mixture

A allowed tge mixture to fry for two minutes before adding my salt and boil. Then i allowed it to boil for five minutes.

After which i added my yam and allowed it to cook before adding my spinach. Allowed it on a low heat for another two minutes before dropping it off from heat.

Food is ready 🀀

This porridge rich come make sense oo

When I saw the first photo, I was like "the palm oil makes sense oo"
Though, I was doubting if it was only palm oil that did this appetising work.

Then I saw fresh tomatoes as one of the ingredients I now said "ah ha o ti to"

So you also cooked porridge too. I cooked porridge but mine was with sweet potatoes. I was too hungry after a vigil to remember taking pictures 😁.
