You are viewing a single comment's thread:
I see populaces of today, hoping to prevail against wrong doings by the rulers. When the veil lifts (the brocade rends) just as the people begin to turn on each other, we the readers (well, me anyway) see that politics is nothing more than entertainment for the masses, population management.
I might be guilty of placing that story onto most stories these days. It's a good story!
Welcome back for however long you are here. I got quite the thrill when I saw you had posted.

I hadn't really thought about what it meant... but, yes. Could be that way. I share the feeling for sure.
Now I think of it - the actors - they came into my mind only at the last paragraph because I suddenly saw the cloth as a scene curtain. I think I see them as something more noble than the corrupt people in government. They are not the police after all. Maybe it is about the struggle of organising politically opposed to the backward-looking and yet avant-garde ways of art... always telling us what is happening right now by going everywhere else than the social science statistics of now and here.
I am second guessing myself :) I honestly have no idea.
