Monday in school

Hello everyone . It another Monday and as usuall a school day. I am Ovipriase a passionate Teacher of Biology and I love what I do.

Teaching it's fun and exciting. It gives you felling of raising a feature leaders and at long run you would be proud to see a Doctor, Barrister, Senetor, or even president recognizing you as one who has groom him or her to where he or she is today. Teacher are nation's builders. Though many who find themself in the proffesion most especially in Nigeria only do so because of lack of job. So today was another day in school with my students.
We had a practical class, an experiment of identifying micro-organisms (Algae) using microscope. First I had to teach the students microscope, parts of microscope and their functions.

We got specimen, by scooping sample of fresh water containing algae from a stream nearby the school.

A drop of small water containing the algal sample is placed onto a clean glass slide and cover with cover slip. The specem is then mount on the stage of the microscope to view for algae.

The student were able to see organism like spirogyra, volvox, and Chlamydomonas. I see in the face of the students a happy mood as the were expose to somthing new they have not seen before. After demostrating the procedure of the experiment, i ask the students to prepare a slide by themselves.

They did wonderfully well and at the end aims and objective of the day was archive.
