The body of the song is a cry on the God who is the meryfull father to have mercy on us his children and see our tears because we have no one except him. Yes God is the meryfull father, Romans 9:15 says "For God said to Moses, “I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.” I personalize this song whenever I sing it. If not for the mercy of the Lord I (we) would have been consume by the enemy. We do not deserve his love but his mercy found us. God is reach in mercy. It doesn't matter how far you have gone astray his mercy and Grace is sufficient if only you cry and sincerely ask of his mercy.
