Happy with my farm progress

This week end I decided to visits my farm to see and put one or two things into order and I was happy with what I have seen.

Growing food crops can be dedious and time consuming but the joy that comes after it know no bound. It excite me to see what I have planted in late April at the onset of rain has germinated and it's about fruiting. Nothing gives a farmer Joy when you see crops you planted blossom and the entire farm is greenish with crops.

This signifies a healthy growth and sign of bomber harvest to comee. As I visits my farm where I planted Maize and yam I was excited and happy on what I have seen. However from this moment to when it will be due for harvest, certain cultural practices will be needed to make the crops grow healthy. One which is the major is weeding.

Wedding is the removal of unwanted plant growing among cultivated crops. I waste no time in picking my hoe and engage in removing this weeds. Though it was dedious but for the joy of what is to come i was encourage to continue.

What is next is application of fertilizer to help increase the nutrient availability in the soil for plant growth. I did weed but when my strenght could not longer carry on I took off for the day.

The farm took a another new look more better than it was before and you can see that air could circulate well given the crop plant more space to take up available resources thereby eliminating competition between weeds and crop.
