Psalm 18:2 says "The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.Jesus is the only dependable Rock we can depend, stand, believe and rely on it.He’s our strength and also our security. In a time of warfare, men would hide behind a rock. Do you know Christ as your Rock? Jesus is the only foundation to which faith is build on. Any faith or believe build on other god's will not stand the test of time. He is the only one you can ever trust to be safe. Acts 4:12 "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Christ is the only rock we should stand on all other ground are sinking sand. Your Christian jurney will crash if it is not build on christ. Jesus illustrated this by describing two builders—one wise and the other foolish. "Matthew 7:24-27(KJV)
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it".
While the first man built wisely on rock, the second man foolishly built on sand.
our lives may look similar outwardly yet have a crucial difference below the surface. You can claim faith and attend church regularly, and still be a foolish builder. We must choose whether to build our lives on the Solid Rock—Jesus Christ—or on others personal believe.
