Hello everyone, I welcome you all to my blog, this is my entry for Hive Music Festival week 144 round 3.
It's another great privilege to engage with the community in yet another festival of music celebration. This week I bring us a Bass cover of Style Plus "Four years", one of the great songs during my childhood days. It feels good going back to the old good memories when we enjoyed almost every danceable songs that we come across as long as it makes us move our feet and shake our body in excitement.
We didn't have high taste for songs since we don't know much and only focused on whatever that comes our mind at a particular period of time. The song "Four Years" seem to be a little bit different in this regards because I still enjoy every bit of the song whenever I listen to it, I guess maybe it's because it brings back the memories whenever I listen to it.
The song best fits birthday occasions although I've watched kids perform the same song for choreography due to its beautiful danceable rhythm and beats. I'm not a good dancer even back then so the highest we usually do back then is to enjoy the music and applaud our colleagues who are representing us on the stage. It's refreshing making a cover of the song with my bass guitar. I'm not yet where I want to be on the guitar but I'll keep on practicing as I've determined to play the guitar very well before the year runs out..

Es un gran privilegio participar con la comunidad en otro festival musical. Esta semana les traigo una versión en Bass de "Four Years" de Style Plus, una de las grandes canciones de mi infancia. Me alegra recordar aquellos buenos momentos de cuando disfrutábamos de casi todas las canciones bailables que conocíamos, siempre que nos hicieran mover los pies y sacudir el cuerpo de emoción.
No teníamos un gusto musical muy definido, ya que no sabíamos mucho y solo nos enfocábamos en lo que nos venía a la mente en un momento determinado. La canción "Four Years" parece ser un poco diferente en este sentido, porque sigo disfrutando cada parte de la canción cada vez que la escucho; supongo que quizás sea porque me trae recuerdos cada vez que la escucho.
La canción es ideal para cumpleaños, aunque he visto a niños interpretar la misma canción en coreografías debido a su hermoso ritmo bailable. Ni siquiera en aquella época bailaba bien, así que lo máximo que solíamos hacer era disfrutar de la música y aplaudir a nuestros colegas que nos representaban en el escenario. Es refrescante hacer una versión de la canción con mi bajo. Todavía no estoy donde quiero estar con la guitarra, pero seguiré practicando, ya que me he propuesto tocarla muy bien antes de que acabe el año.
