Charity Begins At Home

"Charity,' they say, begins at home". How can you love someone else when you don't love yourself?

The Holy Bible says "Love your neighbors as you love yourself". This means you are the first priority before those around you. Don't quote me wrong, love can't go without sacrifice for love is sacrifice and you sacrifice only because there's love. Putting yourself first isn't selfishness, it is wisdom, it means taking full control of your decisions and actions. Many times we prioritize helping people and neglecting the little sacrifices we can do for our bodies. It is because you're healthy you can move from one place to another in the spirit of charity. When the body is weak in sickness and poverty, it becomes extremely difficult to help other people.

There's a tin line between loving yourself and selfishness. You must not gain everything for yourself until you're full before you help others. Know when to stretch out your arm and tell somebody 'take'. I grew up believing that, only those who knows what it means not to have, actually knows how to give best. If you've tasted pain, you'll pray for others to heal, of you've tested hunger and starvation, you'll pray for others to get food to eat. Life is filled up with it's ups and downs but we all got each others shoulders so we can lean on.

I'm an advocate of charity, I love to see people smile away pain. I know what it means not to have and that's why I feel very different when I see people liberated from the dungeon of pain, lack and wants. I've supported few people even at my expense, some appreciate my support, others don't, some enjoyed my company while others didn't, but for the few I took along with me on several of my journey and they enjoyed it, I hope the pass it to someone else.

The most valuable thing I can ever give to a person is my time because time is very crucial and so rare to get atm. I've got so many material things I've done for people in the act of charity but I want to talk more about 'Time,'.
I'm a tutor, I do teach either music, content creation, fitness tips and little about crypto. I've spent so much time trying to support people in the crypto-verse lately but right now I'm taking my time to focus very much more on my self too because no one's gonna do it more better than I will.

I still do create time for people but this time around I am the most priority, I ensure to keep my routines clean in an appropriate manner, I do my workouts, take sometime to sleep very well then do some work that puts food on the table for me. Back then, it's even difficult to do some recreational activities because I'm busy trying to solve people's problems. Now I've figured out that it's not wrong to help people but it's completely inappropriate not to consider yourself while doing that.
