The beginning of the adventure – the first opening of Lucky Block
Have you ever played Minecraft Lucky Block, but if you have – you know it's a complete lottery. You can get a diamond set, a magic sword, and you can... fly into the air faster than you can say "Oops".
And guess which option I got more often?
I start the game. I am standing on a flat meadow, the sun is shining, the birds are singing. In my inventory I have a wooden pickaxe, some food and... my first Lucky Block waiting to open.
"Okay, what could go wrong?" I think, then hit the block with my pickaxe.
💣 BOOM!
Suddenly, everything turns red, black, and then all I see is a big hole in the ground and the inscription "You Died". Yes, my first Lucky Block decided that my life was too boring and needed fireworks. I load the world again and return to the explosion site.
I look at the crater and sigh. "There is no turning back" – I think, I dig another Lucky Block and... A giant tower of chests falls from the sky!
Okay, that looks good. I try to open the first crate and suddenly I hear a hiss.
BAM! The tower explodes, and I fly into the air like a rocket launched. I landed in the exact same hole I had created five seconds earlier.
After a few minutes, I start to notice a certain trend: every time I hope for something good, I get a blast.
• Lucky Block Number 5: A pack of aggressive zombies on speed. Running away in panic, jumping into the water, forgetting that there is a drowned person in the water.
• Lucky Block Number 8: A Big Pool of Lava... right below me. I had time to think "No..." before I sank into the hot magma.
• Lucky Block Number 11: Super Powerful Sword! Diamond, enchanted, a real OP. I pick it up proudly, turn around and an anvil falls on me.
I have the impression that the game is starting to make fun of me. But I won't give up! Another Lucky Block!
I open another Lucky Block and... Diamond set! Full armor, the best you can get. Could it be that fate has finally smiled on me?
No.
Two seconds later, I hear a loud hiss and look around in panic. There are no snakes in Minecraft, right? But before I could think about it, a TNT cloud is falling from the sky.
Bum.
I look at the chat and see the inscription "Oscar ceased to exist".
I close my eyes. I count to three. I breathe deeply. I'm coming back to the world.
After so many explosions, I should quit this game. But not me. It's Lucky Block, so there's bound to be something lucky sometime, right?
I approach the next block. I dig it with faith in the future. And suddenly...
… the ENDER DRAGON falls on me.
Yes. Genuine. Alive. .
We look at each other for a few seconds. He roars. I roar. He is destroying the world. I smash the keyboard.
"Minecraft is a beautiful game," I think as the dragon sweeps me away with a single slap of its wings.
After an hour of playing and countless explosions, I learned a few things:
- Lucky Block knows no mercy.
- If something looks too good, it's bound to explode.
- Never stand on the Lucky Block when opening.
- If you know that Minecraft has an Ender Dragon, then never assume that it can't appear RANDOMLY ON YOUR FACE.
Will I play again? Of course. Because how can you resist a game where you can go from "I have everything" to "I have nothing" in a second?
And maybe next time I'll actually get something lucky...? 🎲🔥
