La importancia del Staking en nuestro emprendimiento en Hive. ESP/EN.
En esta comunidad se habla del emprendimiento y de la forma de hacer mejorar ese emprendimiento que con tanta ilusión abrimos con la intensión de ganar dinero y tener estabilidad económica, y realmente es maravilloso el poder tener la oportunidad de acceder a esos consejos y esas experiencias que nos ayudan a perder los miedos a realizar un emprendimiento, y además nos ayuda a crecer y producir mejor.
Y en mi caso, las últimas veces que he escrito en esta comunidad de emprendimiento, lo he hecho hablando de Hive, y la razón, es que yo veo a Hive como un emprendimiento muy serio, con un potencial enorme y con unas características envidiables en cualquier negocio.
Y creo que así, debemos ver a Hive como un emprendimiento o como un negocio propio, ya que eso es lo que realmente es, y en unos párrafos más cuando explique el staking y su función, explicaré bastante bien la razón por la cual digo, que es nuestro negocio, pero primero vamos a definir que es Hive, ya que muchas personas que están en esta red y escriben, juegan y participan en ella todos los días, pero no tienen conceptualmente claro que es Hive.
¿Qué es Hive?
Poniéndolo en los términos más sencillos, podemos decir que Hive, es una red social, mezclada con una blockchain descentralizada, que funciona en la web3, donde todo lo que se publica queda guardado y respaldado en la cadena de bloques, y donde los usuarios de la red reciben recompensas por su participación en la red, la cual se realiza generando contenido, comentando artículos, votando y reblogueando.
Para aclarar el punto, cuando hablamos de la web3, hablamos de una red basada en la tecnología de cadena de bloques que no depende de un servidor principal, lo que hace que los miembros de la red tengan el control total de sus datos, de sus recursos y de su uso, sin interferencia de empresas o gobiernos en el uso y funcionamiento de la misma.

Recientemente, varias personas me han preguntado en el chat personal y en el AMA que realizamos los días jueves, en el chat en español del Discord de Ecency, sobre el staking, para qué sirve y sobre la importancia que puede tener en nuestra red. Y digo nuestra red, ya que al hacer staking de Hive, nosotros somos accionistas de la red y nuestras acciones son cada uno de los Hive, que tenemos en nuestro Hive Power (HP).
Cuando hablamos del staking, hablamos de un proceso mediante el cual, nosotros bloqueamos, guardamos, mantenemos o ahorramos, una criptomoneda, que en nuestro caso es Hive, dentro de una cartera en nuestra blockchain. Y al hacer ese staking, nosotros le damos a la red estabilidad, seguridad, y a la vez reducimos la liquidez del Hive, dando mayor estabilidad a su precio.
En lo personal, yo pensaba que Hive funcionaba con el Proof of Stake, pero al tener dudas investigué y conseguí estos dos artículos, que recomiendo que lean para que conozcan más de nuestra red y que me sirvieron de base para este artículo: ¿Qué es HIVE? y Hive: Web3, Redes Sociales y el Contenido Digital.
Y en esos artículos me enteré de que Hive funciona con el Delegated Proof of Stake, que es una variante del Proof of Stake. Y en easta variación que utiliza Hive, nosotros, los usuarios de cadena, le delegamos nuestro poder de voto a los “Testigos” que son los responsables de mantener la red y de validar los bloques que funcionan en ella. Por eso, en el AMA Hablemos desde Ecency, de hace 15 días, hicimos tanto hincapié en la importancia de los testigos. ¿Cuáles son las características del Delegated Proof of Stake que usa Hive?
- En ella todos los usuarios de la red que tengamos Hive Powe (HP) en steking, votamos y escogemos a Los Testigos, que son los que validan y certifican los procedimientos de la red.
- Los usuarios, participamos en un proceso democrático, donde escogemos a los testigos con nuestro voto, y los testigos que obtengan la mayor cantidad de votos, son los que produciran los bloques dentro de Hive.
- Cada usuario de Hive puede votar por 30 testigos.
- Solamente hay 21 testigos en el proceso de generación de bloques, y son los testigos que han recibido la mayor cantidad de votos de los usuarios.
- A diferencia del Proof of Stake, donde todos los que hacen staking validan los bloques. En Hive, solo los testigos elegidos son los que validan los bloques.
- Finalmente, el Delegated Proof of Stake hace que la red Hive sea más rápida, más participativa y democrática a nivel social y también mucho más eficiente en el consumo de energía.
Ahora bien, cuando nosotros hacemos staking de HP, además de participar en la seguridad y en la estabilidad de la red, también participamos y somos parte activa de la gobernanza de la red, ya que somos nosotros los usuarios, los que escogemos a los testigos.
Y por último, mientras más HP tengamos en el staking, mayor serán nuestras recompensas por las actividades que realicemos en la red.
¿Cómo funciona el staking para los usuarios?
- El staking se hace de varias formas en Hive, la primera a través de las recompensas que se reciben por los contenidos. Esa recompensa se divide en cuatro partes, donde un 25% de Hive y un 25% de HBD va para los curadores, y un 25% de Hive va directamente al HP del creador de contenido, y el creador recibe en su cartera el 25% del HBD que generó la ganancia de su contenido.
- El usuario de la red puede comprar Hive y convertir ese Hive en staking de HP.
- Mientras más Hive Power tenga el usuario, más valor y peso tendrá su voto, y también recibirá más ganancias por sus actividades en la red.
- Mientras más HP tenga el usuario, mayor será su influencia en la gobernanza de la red y la elección de los testigos.
- Los usuarios pueden hacer delegación de su HP, y con este proceso pueden tener ingresos pasivos, sin perder el control de su HP.
- Para los usuarios retirar el Hive del HP, deben hacer un proceso llamado Power Down, en el cual pueden sacar una parte o la totalidad de su HP. Pero este proceso se tarda cerca de 13 semanas.
- Un usuario sin HP, no puede tener ningún tipo de actividad en la red.
Cómo podemos ver, el staking en Hive es sumamente importante y nuestro HP, nos convierte en socios de la red, así que podemos decir que cada Hive que tengamos nosotros en nuestro HP, es una acción den la empresa; y de hecho Hive funciona de esa manera como lo hemos visto. Al igual que una empresa, a mayor número de acciones o de HP, mayor será nuestra ganancia, mayor será snuestro poder de voto, y más peso tendrá nuestra voz en la toma de decisiones.
Ahora que ya sabes qué es el staking y cómo funciona en Hive, verás lo importante que es para nosotros y para nuestra red, su aplicación y su utilización. Y del mismo modo ya sabes, cómo funciona y para qué sirve el staking en los otros token de la red, ya que el método funciona igual.

Putting it in the simplest terms, we can say that Hive is a social network, mixed with a decentralized blockchain, that works on the web3, where everything that is published is saved and backed up on the blockchain, and where network users receive rewards for their participation in the network, which is done by generating content, commenting on articles, voting and reblogging.
To clarify the point, when we talk about the web3, we are talking about a network based on blockchain technology that does not depend on a main server, which makes the members of the network have full control of their data, their resources and their use, without interference from companies or governments in the use and operation of it.

Recently, several people have asked me in the personal chat and in the AMA that we hold on Thursdays, in the Spanish chat of the Ecency Discord, about staking, what it is for and about the importance that you can fear in our network. And I say our network, because when doing Hive staking, we are shareholders of the network and our shares are each of the Hive, which we have in our Hive Power (HP).
When we talk about staking, we are talking about a process by which we block, save, maintain or save a cryptocurrency, which in our case is Hive, within a wallet on our blockchain. And by doing this staking, we give the network stability, security, and at the same time we reduce the Hive's liquidity, giving greater stability to its price.
Personally, I thought that Hive worked with the Proof of Stake, but when I had doubts I researched and got these two articles, which I recommend you read to get to know more about our network and which served as the basis for this article: What is HIVE? and Hive: Web3, Social Media and Digital Content.
And in those articles I learned that Hive works with the Delegated Proof of Stake, which is a variant of the Proof of Stake. And in the same variation that Hive uses, we, the chain users, delegate our voting power to the "Witnesses" who are responsible for maintaining the network and validating the blocks that work on it. What are the features of the Delegated Proof of Stake that Hive uses?
- In it, all the network users that have Hive Powe (HP) in steking, we vote and choose The Witnesses, who are the ones who validate and certify the network procedures.
- Users, we participate in a democratic process, where we choose the witnesses with our vote, and the witnesses who get the most votes, are the ones who will produce the blocks inside Hive.
- Each Hive user can vote for 30 witnesses.
- There are only 21 witnesses in the block generation process, and they are the witnesses who have received the most user votes.
- Unlike the Proof of Stake, where everyone who does staking validates the blocks. In Hive, only the chosen witnesses are the ones who validate the blocks.
- Finally, the Delegated Proof of Stake makes the Hive network faster, more participatory and democratic at a social level and also much more efficient in energy consumption.
However, when we do HP staking, in addition to participating in the security and stability of the network, we also participate and are an active part of the governance of the network, since we are the users, the ones who choose the witnesses.

How does staking work for users?
- The staking is done in several ways in Hive, the first through the rewards that are received for the contents. That reward is divided into four parts, where 25% of Hive and 25% of HBD goes to the curators, and 25% of Hive goes directly to the HP of the content creator, and the creator receives in his wallet 25% of the HBD that generated the profit from his content.
- The user of the network can buy Hive and convert that Hive into HP staking.
- The more Hive Power the user has, the more value and weight his vote will have, and he will also receive more earnings for his activities on the network.
- The more HP the user has, the greater his influence on the governance of the network and the choice of witnesses.
- Users can make delegation of their HP, and with this process they can have passive income, without losing control of their HP.
- For users to remove the Hive from the HP, they must do a process called Power Down, in which they can remove part or all of their HP. But this process takes about 13 weeks.
- A user without HP, cannot have any kind of activity on the network.
As we can see, the stake in Hive is extremely important and our HP, makes us partners in the network, so we can say that every Hive that we have in our HP, is an action in the company; and in fact Hive works that way as we have seen. Like a company, the greater the number of shares or HP, the greater our profit, the greater our voting power, and the more weight our voice will have in decision-making.
Now that you know what staking is and how it works in Hive, you will see how important it is for us and for our network, its application and its use. And in the same way you already know, how it works and what the staking in the other tokens of the network is for, since the method works the same.

Un contenido valioso que nos ilustra sobre las particularidades de la cadena de bloques de Hive.
Yo, como usuario nuevo que soy, tengo muchas preguntas que necesitan respuestas. Algo a lo que le he dado una interpretación (que puede no sea del todo correcta) es a las recompensas que obtenemos por nuestra actividad dentro de la blockchain. Cuando venimos de las redes 2.0 dónde el contenido que se publica solo recibe valoraciones simbólicas (tipo los likes) entender porque se paga en Hive por hacer lo mismo es complicado. Para mí es la manera que encontró Hive para permitir que muchos participen y reciban una parte del pastel que representa su capital.
Puede que esta duda sirva de motivación para próximas publicaciones o para debatir en el AMA (en cual me gustaría participar).
