Greetings, community, happy Thursday to everyone.

@friendlymoose this week invites us to bring images linked to religion.

At first I had decided to take some pictures of one of the churches that are near the house; here there are several Catholic churches with statues and very nice stained glass windows.

And also, at the entrance of my building there is an evangelical church and, next to that temple, there is a foundation of that church that is responsible for helping young people who use drugs.

But I decided to look in my side of images, and I got some records that I made at a cultural event in the Parque del Oeste in Caracas, where there were many living statues, and among them there was a living statue of the Virgin Mary, so I decided to use those shots, instead of making ones of buildings.

It seems to me that the living statue gives more life to the religious vision than concrete structures, since they are a reflection of people's faith.

The image was taken with a Nikon Coolpix 8.3 megapixel camera.

@friendlymoose esta semana nos invita a traer imágenes vinculadas a la religión.

En un principio había decidido tomar unas imágenes de una de las iglesias que están cerca de la casa; acá hay varias iglesias católicas con estatuas y vitrales bien bonitos.

Y también, en la entrada de mi edificio hay una iglesia evangélica y, al lado de ese templo, hay una fundación de esa iglesia que se encarga de ayudar a los jóvenes que consumen drogas.

Pero decidí buscar en mi bando de imágenes, y conseguí unos registros que realicé en un evento cultural en el Parque del Oeste en Caracas, donde habían muchas estatuas vivientes, y entre ellas había una estatua viviente de la Virgen María, así que decidí usar esas tomas, en vez de hacer unas de edificios.

Me parece que la estatua viviente le da más vida a la visión religiosa que las estructuras de cemento, ya que son un reflejo de la fe de la gente.

La imagen la tomé con una cámara Nikon Coolpix de 8,3 megapíxeles.
