Pront: No entres en ese bosque.

Hace poco salí a la calle a hacer unas diligencias familiares, y en la calle me conseguí con unos amigos y, al igual que todo el mundo, todos estaban hablando de la situación del país y del futuro que nos espera.

Todo el mundo estaba lleno de expectativas; algunos estaban llenos de rencor hacia los estadounidenses, otros con un odio extremo hacia el gobierno y otros apoyando con muy poco entusiasmo la intervención y el ataque gringo a nuestro país.

Y en medio de las conversaciones, las discusiones y las posiciones que se estaban generando, me di cuenta de que nosotros no éramos más que unos simples peones en un juego de ajedrez y, al verlo, me dio mucha risa.

Fue muy interesante ver cómo las personas que apoyaban al gobierno estaban esperando un avance o una información del partido o del gobierno para tomar una posición. También vi cómo los miembros de la oposición más fascista y de derecha apoyaban el ataque militar a nuestro país y pedían la cabeza de todos los chavistas, y vi cómo la gente que piensa como yo, es decir, aquellos que no apoyamos al gobierno, pero que tampoco apoyamos la injerencia extranjera, quedamos en el medio de los dos grupos extremistas tratando de servir como mediadores entre ambos grupos.

Al final, me di cuenta de que mucha gente actúa, piensa y usa los argumentos de las redes sociales sin comprobar si son ciertos o falsos; se llenan de odios y creencias viscerales y toman posiciones basadas no en la lógica ni en los hechos, sino en sentimientos o según lo planteen las redes sociales y las agendas mediáticas.

Y en plena conversación entre vecinos y amigos, me di cuenta de que realmente no somos nadie, no tenemos ningún tipo de injerencia real en la realidad del país, y me di cuenta, para más preocupación que los más furibundos defensores de ambos lados del tablero, oposición y gobierno, no tienen capacidad de generar ideas y argumentos propios, y en su mayoría son personas muy manipuladas por los medios e incapaces para entender realmente su entorno y el cúmulo de situaciones que les rodea.

Su mayor interés es tener dinero, un grado mínimo de comodidades y capacidad de compra de productos y servicios, en fin, vivir bien. Y claro, qué persona no quiere vivir bien, tener excelentes servicios, capacidad de compra y trabajo estable.

Y al fin, ahí me di cuenta de que todos los valores y todas las inconformidades cesarán en el momento en que nuestra calidad de vida vuelva a ser como era antes, y siendo así esta realidad, no vale la pena desgastarse pensando en pavadas, sino que más bien hay que dejar que el ser como el agua siga su curso.

Realmente no vale la pena entrar en un bosque lleno de ideologías, posiciones contradictorias y visiones políticas diferentes, más cuando uno como ciudadano ha venido siendo traicionado de manera continua por los políticos de derecha, de izquierda, de centro y por los “militares nacionalistas” que hoy en día dan pena ajena.

Lo mejor entonces es dejar que el agua siga su curso, dedicarse a trabajar y producir, leer, conocer y estudiar las realidades, pero más para uso personal y de colectivos de discusión que para otra opción, ya que realmente no vale la pena perder el tiempo y desgastarse en eso.

Ya que cada líder de derecha, de izquierda y militar que ha estado en el poder político del país termina siendo más corrupto y peor que el gobierno que lo precedió, y gracias a ese nivel de corrupción, de ignorancia y de ideología política sin bases formadas, será imposible dejar de ser una colonia de una potencia o de otra.

Así que lo más sano es dedicarse a trabajar y producir y dejar de perder el tiempo escuchando, siguiendo y votando por políticos traidores, corruptos y vendepatrias. Ya que la realidad del ciudadano común es muy simple: si no produces, no comes, no pagas deudas ni servicios, apenas tienes pocos derechos civiles y tus decisiones personales ni influyen ni impactan en nada a nivel más allá del propio o familiar.

Así que lo mejor es dedicarse a producir, hacer actividades sanas, creativas y productivas, y no perder el tiempo opinando sobre una realidad que no podrás cambiar.

Pront: Don't go into that forest.

Recently I went out to the street to do some family errands, and on the street I got with some friends and, like everyone else, everyone was talking about the situation of the country and the future that awaits us.

Everyone was full of expectations; some were full of spite towards the Americans, others with an extreme hatred towards the government and others supporting with very little enthusiasm the intervention and the Gringo attack on our country.

And in the midst of the conversations, the discussions and the positions that were being generated, I realized that we were nothing more than simple pawns in a chess game and, when I saw it, it made me laugh a lot.

It was very interesting to see how people who supported the government were waiting for a breakthrough or information from the party or the government to take a position. I also saw how the members of the most fascist and right-wing opposition supported the military attack on our country and demanded the head of all the Chavistas, and I saw how people who think like me, that is, those who do not support the government, but who also do not support foreign interference, were left in the middle of the two extremist groups trying to serve as mediators between both groups.

In the end, I realized that many people act, think and use the arguments of social networks without checking whether they are true or false; they are filled with hatred and visceral beliefs and take positions based not on logic or facts, but on feelings or as posed by social networks and media agendas.

And in the middle of a conversation between neighbors and friends, I realized that we really are nobody, we do not have any kind of real interference in the reality of the country, and I realized, even more worryingly, that the most furious defenders of both sides of the chessboard, opposition and government, do not have the ability to generate ideas and arguments of their own, and most of them are people very manipulated by the media and incapable of really understanding their environment and the cluster of situations that surround them.

Their main interest is to have money, a minimum degree of amenities and the ability to buy products and services, in short, to live well. And of course, what person doesn't want to live well, have excellent services, shopping capacity and stable work.

And finally, there I realized that all values and all nonconformities will cease the moment our quality of life returns to the way it was before, and this being the case, it is not worth wasting away thinking about nonsense, but rather we have to let being like water take its course.

It really is not worth entering a forest full of ideologies, contradictory positions and different political visions, especially when one as a citizen has been continuously betrayed by right-wing, left-wing, centrist politicians and by the “nationalist military” who today give pity to others.

The best thing then is to let the water take its course, dedicate yourself to working and producing, reading, getting to know and studying the realities, but more for personal use and discussion collectives than for any other option, since it's really not worth wasting time and getting worn out on that.

Since every right-wing, left-wing and military leader who has been in political power in the country ends up being more corrupt and worse than the government that preceded him, and thanks to that level of corruption, ignorance and political ideology without formed bases, it will be impossible to stop being a colony of one power or another.

So the healthiest thing is to dedicate yourself to work and produce and stop wasting time listening, following and voting for traitorous, corrupt and sellout politicians. Since the reality of the ordinary citizen is very simple: if you do not produce, you do not eat, you do not pay debts or services, you have few civil rights and your personal decisions do not influence or impact on anything beyond your own or family level.

So the best thing is to dedicate yourself to producing, doing healthy, creative and productive activities, and not waste time opining about a reality that you won't be able to change.
