Hola amigos, es un placer estar de nuevo por acá, LES CUENTO, que ayer sábado salí desde muy temprano de mi casa en la Ciudad de Puerto la Cruz rumbo a la finca, la cual está ubicada en la zona centro del Estado Anzoategui, en realidad, siempre trato de viajar lo más temprano posible para comenzar a trabajar antes que caliente el sol, porque la verdad es que el sol es muy agotador y lo mejor es aprovechar la frescura de la mañana.

Bueno amigos, mis planes para el día, era la de sembrar unas 600 plántulas de pimentón, lo bueno es que la semana pasada ya había preparado los surcos de riego, así que solo me faltaba rectificar los bordes de los surcos y meterle agua a estos surcos, y además de esto, abrir los huecos en la tierra donde colocaré cada plántula.

Well friends, after putting on my boots and my hat, I started to put water in the irrigation furrows, to keep them very wet because in the afternoon I had to transplant the pepper seedlings, generally I tend to sow at the end of the afternoon, so that the intensity of the sun does not affect the plants.

LES CUENTO que ayer llegué a la finca a eso de las 6:45 de la mañana y comencé a trabajar la tierra a eso de las 9 de la mañana, la verdad es que quería comenzar más temprano, pero me puse a desayunar y a regar los semilleros de pimentos y de ají dulce, bueno amigos, después de ponerme mis botas y mi sombreo, me puse a meterle agua a los surcos de riegos, para tenerlos bien mojados porque en la tarde tenía que trasplantar las plántulas pimentones, generalmente yo acostumbro a sembrar al final de la tarde, para que la intensidad del sol no afecten a las plantas.

Confieso que hoy amanecí con algo de dolor en las piernas, y no es para menos, porque cada línea de surco mide 18 metros multiplicados por 17 surcos para un total de 300 metros. Imagínate caminar agachado durante dos horas. La verdad es que esto es difícil, aunque este trabajo lo hago poco a poco. Creo que un joven puede hacer este trabajo en menos tiempo, pero tengo que hacer las cosas sin forzar el cuerpo, tengo 68 años y tengo que ser consciente de esto, aunque no soy tan viejo, solo tengo muchas canas, jajaja...

Bueno amigos considero que el día fue muy productivo a pesar de que fue un día soleado, pero lo importante es lograr lo planeado, mi meta era sembrar estas 17 hileras y lo logré, así que me siento satisfecho con mi trabajo, mañana tengo que regresar a la finca para seguir regando estas plantas, lo bueno es que la próxima semana llega mi cuñado de viaje para cuidar estos cultivos.
