THE POWER OF WORDS IN OUR LIVES

Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT YOUR WORDS?
Proverbs 15: 1 “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but hard words stir up anger.” Proverbs 15:4 “Gentle words bring life and health; a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.” ... Proverbs 18:4 “A person's words can be life-giving water; words of true wisdom are as refreshing as a bubbling brook.”

HOW WORDS INSPIRE US
The words you write or speak to others can leave an enormous impact and create a lasting memory, either good or bad, so it's super important to choose them wisely. Words can make or break a relationship and your choice of words and the way you express yourself can accelerate or kill your career.

HOW WORDS AFFECT US
Within the words we speak is an emotional potency. ... Words influence others and build relationships at work and personally. They can tear down relationships. Simply put, language holds massive, colossal power to manifest change, whether it is good or bad. You have heard the saying “actions speak louder than words,” but this may not always be true. We each have the power to influence someone with the words we use.

A plethora of studies has shown the positive and negative effects linked to certain words. Dr. Susan Smalley, a professor of psychiatry and biobehavioral sciences stated that “individuals read words of ‘loving kindness’ showed increases in self-compassion, improved mood, and reduced anxiety.

If we think back to times we have heard inspirational words, we remember how good and motivated we felt after. To get in the habit of choosing our words wisely and with positive intent, we can often find ourselves looking for things to improve or searching for the motivation to reach our goals. words can motivate us to achieve our dreams and aspirations. Use these words to empower yourself. put reminders around us.

This is such a powerful and timely reminder. I completely agree that words carry so much weight, more than we sometimes realize in the moment we say them. I love how you connected it with scripture too, especially Proverbs 15:1; I’ve seen firsthand how a gentle word can calm even the most heated situations.
