I treated myself to rojak today

You know those days when you just need something good? Today was one of those days, so I decided to treat myself to Chinese rojak. It is not the Indian ones. Those in Singapore and Malaysia will know what I am talking about.

This is how it looks. Totally worth the S$4 I spent to get it.

Let me lift it up for you.

It has the sweet, nutty, and that funky prawn paste taste.

First bite and I remembered why this stuff is so good. The crunch from the peanuts, that weird satisfying chew from the tofu puffs, the sweetness from the pineapple cutting through all that salty prawn paste funk. It's messy and perfect and exactly what I needed.

Check out the sauce. I finish every drop.

It goes well with milk tea.

Got myself a cup of hot teh to go with it because that's just how you do rojak properly. Sitting there in the humid afternoon, alternating between cool crunchy bites and hot tea sips, watching the world go by.
