FREE AT LAST

Freedom at last Sometime ago I got into a deep mess that almost traumatized me, so my mother had just died and we needed money for her funeral so we splits up the money amongst us and at that time I was really broke but my mother burial was at the corner so I knew I have to work so I can make money to pay my own part of the money. I was in my 100 level going to 200level as of then so I had not found my feet but I was surviving, after some time my school went on break so I knew it was time for me to hustle out money hence I started working at my friends POS so I can’t at least raise part of the money.

I worked for close to a month and a day to the day I was going to get paid I was robbed, I remember vividly that the evening I had already closed for the day when my boss called me not to leave the shop that someone want to deposit a huge amount of money so since I had the money in my machine and no opening cash for the next day I had to take the deal as it’s going to save me the stress of going to the bank to get cash, upon my boss arrival we went together to his friend shop who also does the same business as him to make the transaction.

After everything I collected the cash I when straight home the next day I resumed work as usual but this time I left the shop to stay at my friends because my Kiosk was really hot due to the hot sun so I needed ventilation but my boss friend called me and ask why I was not in the shop that he cannot find me but little did he know that I was just opposite my shop so I could literally see if someone wants to withdraw money so I told him he was lying that I am in my shop and he should not scold me since I was not working for him after which I ended the call then few minutes later my boss called me and was yelling at me say am not in the shop before I could explain myself he hung up obviously his friend had already called him to give him a bad report about me hence I knew it was time to go back to my Kiosk. On my way to my back to the shop I saw him(my boss friend) from afar staring at me so I ignored him and went straight in.

Immediately I entered the shop I decided to record the previous transaction I made 3 minutes into it some robbers stormed into my small shop the dark hit my head repeatedly with the stock of the gun then I passed out, they took the bag of money later they came back with their tricycle to return my phone after I gained consciousness I called my boss then update him on what happened and as at then my head was bleeding out, 30 minutes later my boss came with police officers to arrest me lol sad right? Well that’s what happened according to him; How people do rob you then come back to give you ur phone madam na you set the robbery no lie, those were his words hmm I was heartbroken and disappointed at the same time after we got to the station we reached an agreement that I will pay the money back but the big question is how?
That was the only job I had at the time, the total amount to be paid was three hundred and eighty seven thousand naira (387,000) Nigerian naira, how much was my salary? 15,000 naira but I paid my salary 25 times more.
I was traumatized but somehow I was able to pay the money back with a year and three months because our initial agreement in the station was ten thousand naira (10,000) every month but I can give more that that if I have. Now I didn’t get paid for the month I worked for him but I paid extra plus hard work and sleepless night, I was literally working like a slave but some how I was able to pay everything off and got my freedom at last.
