Hello Hive! — I’m favour onyekachi, Excited and glad to Be Here

Hello wonderful people of Hive!
It’s such a great feeling to finally join this amazing community where people from different parts of the world share their thoughts, talents, and experiences. My name is Favour onyekachi, and I’m originally from ebonyi state, though I currently live in abia state I’m happy to introduce myself and tell you a bit about my journey, passions, and what brought me to Hive.

My Journey So Far

I was a caterer, and I must say that cooking and baking as a chef has taught me more than just how to exploring heritage through food— it has shown me how to connect with people. Every customer comes to petronize with their own story, and while I bake/cook for them,I also get to listen, share, and sometimes even encourage. I’ve learned that baking/cooking isn't all about what's on the plate but what's in the heart

Over the years, I’ve developed a deep love for cooking help them have taste of my snacks and feel their best. Whether it’s cooking/baking I always try to make people smile before they leave. It gives me joy to know that I can brighten someone’s day with something as simple as a baking /cooking or a kind word.

Living and working in abia state has also shaped me in many ways. It’s a busy state, full of life and energy, and being here has taught me patience, creativity, and hard work. Every day is an opportunity to meet new people, learn new things, and improve myself.

My Educational Journey

After learning my skills of baking and cooking, I pursued a jupeb program in Benin at university of Benin University, Studying science gave me a strong foundation in observation, patience, and problem-solving.

my education played a major role in shaping who I am today. It taught me how to think critically, stay disciplined, and believe in myself. Most importantly, it helped me become more confident — a quality that has guided me in both business and life.

My time at the university was full of challenges and growth. It opened my eyes to how vast the world of learning is, and it built in me a curiosity that still drives me today. I believe that education, in whatever form, empowers us to see life differently and prepares us to impact others positively.

My Passions: baking, singing and Bible Truths

Apart from my academics, I have strong passions for singing, baking, and Bible truths. I believe these three are closely connected. when we sing with our whole heart,when we also do what makes us happy and when we live by Bible truths, we find peace and direction; and when we appreciate beauty — in ourselves and in others — we build confidence and kindness.

I enjoy reading materials that improve my knowledge in these areas. I love learning about baking, making hair and how to maintain good relationships, and mindset. But above all, I find true strength and balance in the Bible’s teachings. They remind me to be humble, honest, and kind — values I try to show in my daily life and work.

My Goals on Hive

I joined Hive because I want to learn, share my experiences, build meaningful connections, and earn through creativity. I love how Hive is not just a platform for posting content, but also a community where people support one another. It’s inspiring to see so many individuals expressing themselves freely — through writing, art, photography, and discussions — while also growing personally and financially.

Through Hive, I hope to:

Share stories and tips about baking and school at times

Write about healthy living and simple ways to improve everyday life.

Discuss Bible-based truths that offer comfort and guidance in today’s busy world.

Connect with people from different cultures and learn from their experiences.

Grow my writing skills and confidence as a creator.

I believe everyone has something valuable to offer, and I’m excited to contribute my part — even if it’s through small, thoughtful posts that can brighten someone’s day.

Who I Am Outside Work

When I’m not in the class or learning something new, I enjoy reading, and spending time with my family. Family means so much to me — it’s where love, support, and strength begin. I value relationships built on honesty and trustworthiness, and I try to live by those principles every day.

I also love peaceful moments — like relaxing after a long day, reading a motivational book, or listening to songs that lift my spirit. I believe life becomes more beautiful when we slow down to appreciate the little things around us — the laughter of loved ones, the calmness after a long week.
