Municipal Library & Museum

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog :-)

After our well-deserved refreshment, we continued exploring the streets of Caminha.
We passed the medieval gate and went to Largo dos Combatentes (a tribute to 150 combatants from Caminha who were in the First World War). Along the way we passed several bars and restaurants that should be full of life in the summer, but these days we took advantage of the tranquility.

Here in Largo we came across the Academia Sénior de Caminha which led to an important question from our little one which I will quote:
-"When you are old, do you want to come to a gym like this? Or would you prefer to take care of your grandchildren?"
That took us by surprise!!! Of course we prefer to take care of our grandchildren and that's what we responded to, but knowledge has no place and the mind must be constantly active. There is so much to learn and we should take advantage of every opportunity given to us.
Here in the square there is a huge tree, one of the largest we have seen in the historic center of a city. And there are also many doves, which approached curiously but without fear, as if parading. Some posed for the photo and featured graffiti by our late António Variações. Here it was also possible to see the Municipal Museum but it was closed and we were unable to visit it.
