Let's do a #threadcast and talk about GNU/LINUX,
When did we first meet Linux?
What is your favorite distribution? How does it help us in our daily tasks?

Many years ago. Have always just dabbled. Need to go full Linux, but somehow never have. No favorite distribution.

15-ish years ago, in college. I always tell myself I should move to Linux but never really have.... My favorite distro is Ubuntu mainly because it's the only one I really used

I also started using Ubuntu back in 2009, it's been a few years now. To get started, you just have to try it, everything in Linux has evolved a lot and for the better.

This is fun... I knew about Linux for a long time, but first time I tried was in College, (probably 10yrs ago,) when we had a one-time lecture about Fedora. I liked it, but I stuck to Windows.

I kept making Linux LiveUSBs but never had them as my main PC.

I decided to go full Linux when I learned about Proton a few years ago, at the start I only did it to learn how to use it, but I like it more than Windows now. (It helps that Windows have gotten worse.)

Fedora was a stranger to me 10 years ago, now it's one of the best alternatives. Windows has fallen and Linux has improved a lot, that's the truth.
