A Peaceful Walk on the First Days of Ramadan
The first day of Ramadan was very beautiful for me. The weather was calm and fresh, and the sky looked soft and clear. After spending the morning quietly, I decided to go for a walk in the afternoon. It felt like the perfect way to enjoy the day and reflect on the meaning of this special month.
I walked for about one hour in a nearby park. As you can see from the photos, the trees, green grass, and sunlight created a peaceful atmosphere. Some trees were still bare, while others showed early signs of spring. The light falling through the branches made long shadows on the path, and everything felt calm and slow. Walking during Ramadan has a different feeling. There is a quiet awareness in the body and mind.

As you know, during fasting days we do not eat or drink for many hours. Right now in Turkey, we fast for about twelve hours, from early morning around 6 a.m. until evening around 6 p.m. Even though I walked for an hour, I did not feel thirsty at all. The cool weather helped a lot. It was actually very comfortable, and I enjoyed every step. Sometimes we think fasting will make us weak, but on days like this it feels peaceful and balanced.

While walking, I listened to the sounds around me — birds, distant city noises, and the soft movement of leaves. Being outside during Ramadan helps me feel more connected, both spiritually and emotionally. It reminds me to slow down and appreciate simple moments, like sunlight on the grass or the quiet rhythm of walking.

Now we have already finished the second day of Ramadan, and it is going well. The cool weather in Turkey makes fasting easier and more pleasant. There is a gentle feeling in the air, as if everything is moving with patience. I hope everyone observing Ramadan is having a peaceful and meaningful time. I wish everyone a blessed Ramadan.

I also want to share something that touched my heart deeply. In the first photo, I shared an image related to a baby monkey called Punch. I felt very sad when I learned about his story. At a zoo in Japan, this baby monkey was not accepted by his mother. To help him feel comfort and develop a sense of attachment, the caretakers gave him a soft toy — a plush monkey. When I watched the videos, I felt emotional. Seeing him hold the toy closely showed how strong the need for care and connection is, not only for humans but for animals too.
This story reminded me how important compassion is. Sometimes small actions — like giving comfort, attention, or kindness — can make a big difference. Ramadan is also a time to remember empathy, to care for others, and to reflect on the feelings of those who may feel alone or vulnerable.

Sharing these moments — a peaceful walk and a touching story — feels meaningful to me. Life is made of small experiences that stay in our hearts. Whether it is the quiet beauty of nature or the gentle story of a little animal seeking comfort, both can remind us to be more grateful and kind.

In Pakistan, the fasting time starts from 5:25 AM to 5:55 PM, which is over 12 hours and 30 minutes long. During this time, we have to endure hunger and thirst.
