Bitcoin miners having a much more comfortable and predictable life today.
2013-2015 were just brutal and devastating for them.
Look at these two LOG charts, side by side.
Network Hash rate went parabolic in 2013, while BTC price was tanking all 2014

@onealfa Brutal times indeed.
2013 hash rate moon + 2014 price tank = miner apocalypse.
Today's ops are luxury in comparison.
Great LOG comparison.

Today’s environment is far more structured and predictable by comparison. The risk back then was extreme, and a lot of people forget how close many miners were to being wiped out during that period.

To be fair, if you're going to mine $BTC, thinking of the short term (1-3 years) is really bad for your health, you should think in the long term (6+ years) and save HODL most of your earnings.
