Not everything we see that is real

It is very easy to deceive people with things, especially online. Some people have learnt their lesson in one way or the other.

There's a Friend of mine named Tolani, she associates with a lot of people in the street, and plays with both girls and boys in the street as well.

I know her through her ways of playing and joking with People. Tolani has a Godmother in the street , we all know this woman who always dresses elegant every day.

All her jewellery she always told people it was real gold and people believed her because she always put on gold all the time. While some people did not believe her at all because people do not know the kind of work she does for a living.

But the way she dresses makes some people believe her more, I can even say that's why my friend takes her as godmother.

One day Tolani mum called her to ask her some questions about her godmother, her mother asked her if she knew the kind of work her godmother is doing for a living and she said no mummy.

Her mother told her to be very careful not to associate with that woman that she always wears gold every day and night.

Her mother knew she was interested in her all because of the ways she used to dress with golds. Her mother told her that Not all
glitter is gold.

One faithful day we were both talking in front of our gate, so her godmother was passing by. She ran to her and greeted her as she used to do every time she saw her.

I made a joke of her because she was hailing her godmother and she was not angry about that. Few minutes later Tolani was asking me if I knew what kind of work her godmother could be doing. My answer to her question is that I should be the one asking you.

She asked me not to talk about it anymore, she told me that evening that she was going to her godmother's house the following day.

Tolani went to her godmother's house the following day, her godmother was not inside the room so she was waiting for her.

While waiting she found a dazzling necklace,it was mesmerising that Tolani believed it was made of pure gold.

She took it and went away with it, driven by greed, she decided to sell it to a wealthy merchant in the street. When the merchant inspected the necklace, he told Tolani that it wasn't made of gold at all. In fact it was just an imitation crafted to replicate the beauty of real gold.

The man also told Tolani that appearance can be deceiving and true worth lies beyond the surface.

Even though what tolani did was bad, because she stole what doesn't belong to her but another lesson was learnt.

She was thinking about her godmother that she was using fake life all this while.

It is easy for humans to pretend but in the end it can't last forever, their true self Will reveal itself in the long run.
