One Of Them Days-A Sza and Keke Palmer movie
Whenever you finish a particular movie or series, do you try to imitate the way they speak, their accent and whatnot? Or that's just me? It's been like that for a while now, probably most of my life. It's also been a while I watched a good comedy show. I should've been reading my school books instead of seeing this movie, I feel no regret. When it's the actual time to lock in, we gon' lock in. No negative energy here.
Alright I'm sure the ending of that last paragraph would've been confusing a bit. What I was trying to say is these are dangerous times for me academically and I have these exams coming up and I should've definitely been reading instead of watching this movie. But you know, this is usually the time to start a series of about 6 seasons with episodes worth over 40 minutes and actually enjoy it without it being so forced. This is also the time to do all those hobbies I neglected when I had time, so much free time on my hands to do it. Procrastination and self destruction is a thing guys. It's a thing.

Now, this movie I'm talking about,One of them days. Honestly, it was kind of cringe and I don't know the word, unsatisfying. I particularly watched it because Keke Palmer and SZA were the main characters and it was just lovely seeing them on screen together.
Anyways,One of them days is a comedy movie about these two roommates,Dreux and Allyssa. The beginning scene shows us Dreux at work as a waitress, the way she handles and treats her customers like family. I also introduces Allyssa, who comes to pick her up from work. They arrive at their house, after having a conversation in the car if Allyssa had given the rent to Uche. Uche was the owner of the house they lived in. Alyssa's response was yes and we see Dreux relax in relief.

Fast forward to when they reach the apartment and Dreux is once again bombarded with Alyssa's boyfriend. After a while, Dreux hears a rap on the door and goes to check who would be causing so much racket and why. She comes face to face with Uche and he tells us he's been given no rent, warning her before he leaves that they'll be evicted before the end of the day if they don't give him his rent money. Dreux is confused and immediately stomps to Allyssa to ask what's up. Allyssa tells her she gave the money to her boyfriend to help give it to Uche. Well, after that, we didn't see her so called boyfriend anymore. The jerk and thief, that was exactly what he was.
The movie takes us on a one day journey on how the both roommates manages to get the rent in time. They go through a lot of disaster, which included donating blood and doing other random crazy stuff. All the while, encountering and making an enemy that hunts them throughout the show. Actually, make that two enemies. Crazy people.
It was an okay show. Definitely did not need so much hype, though I'm not sure it got a lot of hype. A soft way to describe it would be 'basic'. The movie was basic and I think the only reason I was able to complete it was because of the cast, with it starring Sza and Keke Palmer. I was more than excited to see them on screen together. Asides that, alot of things didn't make sense in the movie. But if you could just close an eye to all that, then you'd be good and laugh, alot. It was funny when it was time to be funny.
I would rate it but I might be biased as some celebrities I love are in it.
Thanks for reading;)
