Are we having dinner or are you having me for dinner?

The first thing that came to my mind when I read the title of this prompt was interest. Interest and curiosity. The topic was catchy and something to use your imagination about. What would I do if I found out one of my friends and his/her family are vampires? My first reaction would be surprise. I would also say shock but how I'd react wouldn't be that extreme. I'd be shocked at first and then curious.

I have spent most of my life drowning in vampire movies and books. There was this one time in 2022, I was on a quest to discover if vampire truly existed. But since I was restricted from movement due to the pandemic and also my parents wouldn't allow that, obviously, I decided to search social media. Instagram was a total fail, as I couldn't get anything of actual value there. I was left with Facebook and reddit. Reddit didn't go too well as what kept popping in my face were books and movies relating to vampires and imaginative prompts or Halloween costumes. I only went far with Facebook, and although I have no idea how real this was, but I discovered a public vampire group after days of searching. It took them a while to approve my membership, increasing my curiosity the more. But I got in, and I didn't see blood. It was filled with random stuff and then there was a picture of the guy that looked to be in his mid 30s, celebrating his 432nd birthday. There was no real proof for me to know if it was a lie or not. But I have always been curious.

Once, I get past the surprised stage, I'd probably stare at my friend with a hint of awe and furrowed eyebrows. I'd ask him to show me his fangs and increased speed. The fear should've come by now, maybe just brimming slowly. But it wouldn't erupt into a full on fear because this was my friend. And maybe the thought of him latching his fangs on my throat and sucking me dry would be on my mind, but he'd restrained himself up to this point and that's saying something.

And knowing me, after everything is settled and I've asked numerous questions concerning how he turned into a vampire, was he born like that, can he shift even if I know that's a werewolf thing. I'd come up with bizzare jokes concerning a situation because sometimes and most times, it's better to laugh about somethings.

So yes Kieran are we having dinner now or would you have me for dinner? I'd ask with a ridiculous wink, fighting every nerve to smile.
