A RANDOM DAY IN MY LIFE AS A NIGERIAN STUDENT
Is it me or in a way,January is moving so fast and at the same time it's slow,if that makes any sense.
This morning,I woke up by 4AM to prepare for a test then I slept back again(cause I gave up,lol) and awakened by 6AM. It was a good morning,I had no idea if I should cry cause I had not read anything or wallow in self pity. Both seemed like bad options to me so I settled with my daily routine. I climbed down from my bed, walked out of my room and roamed the full hostel environment. I stay in a university hostel and living in a hostel can be really infuriating cause you're at a loss of your private/personal space so I diss out mostly when I'm outside. Funny how I had class by 8AM and I was still outside 7AM in my pyjamas.
Sometimes there's just an unsettling peace in being nonchalant
When I was done with random things like showering and other pesonal stuff. I settled for what I would wear, then had breakfast. Today I had classes from 8AM till 5PM with just an hour break from 12PM to 1PM.(To be honest, I've complained alot about the time placement and the fact they're after my life in this school. I think I've exhausted my energy to vent or rant about it. Just letting things flow the way they want to,lol).
A random picture of what I wore to school today.
Guys, peep my Attack on Titan tote bag.
Also,I had to place my PPE kits in my school bag for workshop classes. I wasn't carrying the complete kit cause what am I? A dinosaur?
I settled for my coverall, safety boots and my googles instead.
I didn't wear those eye tools for anything 😂.
It was 7:42AM when I was done with everything. I had to run to class because I was definitely going to be late if I didn't.(Unfortunately,It was 8:30 and the lecturer hadn't arrived yet)
Please,a reason not to hate my life?🥲
Well, long story short,I wrote the test and moved forward onto my second class which was a workshop class. To say I wasn't exhausted would be a freaking lie. I think what saved me was the fact I took some caffeine before leaving for school.
During break,I spent my time taking pictures cause there wasn't a better way to spend an hour break that wasn't a complete 60 minutes.
Rewind to 6PM,I was done with lectures and ready to graduate already.(* Somebody help🥲*)
Pretty sunsettt
An essential to get through life:
Took this picture by 7PM when I finally reached my hostel. Don't ask me what kept me in school again, I'll cry🥲

Being a student myself I can definitely relate...haha Schooling in this country can be really stressful and frustrating [from my first year I kept on wondering why I agreed to write jamb in the first place] but I really can't wait to graduate like you...I have just a year left and I'm happy the days seems to be flying by...The school is definitely after your life but you'll survive, after all you're a Great Nigerian Student!!!....😉
😂😂😭... Lucky you fr!
Just a year left, I'm so happy for you!♥️
To be honest,I questioned whether writing JAMB was a right decision also 😭😂
