I wrote My Musical Goals for this Year already and I keep reflecting on the measures that must be put in place to ensure that I achieved all that I wrote down.

I'm sitting here with my music Note, all overwhelmed at the whole thing lol,some times when I am in that deep thinking mode, I just stare blindly around, it might just look like I am idle but trust me there are a lot of brain storming going on in that my brain.

The question here is : "how can I take my musical skills to the next level".
I am so passionate about music, I'm always looking for ways to improve, and then I thought, why not share my thoughts with you guys?

So for a Goal to be actualised or Achieved, you have to break it into simpler units of To-do list, it could be a daily thing or subsequent time and days.
I make sure my Goals are S.M.A.R.T
You have to be very intentional and specific about attaining your goals.
Measures must be put in place to ensure your compliance to your plans.
Achievable: make sure your goals are very achievable and doable, don't set goals that will likely be difficult or ridiculously unrealistic.
Relevance: your goals must align with your priority and needs.
Time-bond: you must keep your goal set to be achieved by a particular set time, create a kind of deadline or timeframe.

Here are some of the steps I will be taking to improve my musical skills:

(1) Practice consistently: practice is key and many a time we usually here this common phrase that "practice makes Perfect", although the truth is that it's so easy to get lazy and skip a day (or two, or maybe three). To avoid this, I'd set aside a specific time each day to practice, even if it's just for 15-20 minutes, currently the Musical instruments that I am working on is: piano and Guitar playing and mastering.
practice and Consistency is key.
(2) Learn some music theory online:
Okay so many musicians usually overlook some of the music theories that makes you a better musician, I would be downloading and watching some online tutorials on understanding chord progressions, scales, and Riffs and Runs. Basically I will do more of this learning would be practiced alongside the instrument I am learning. Note that all this downloading would be data intensive, so in my financial budget for each month purchase of data is taking a big share.

(3) Record myself over and over again: one big fact is that recording yourself is one of the best ways to improve your musical skills.
Thank God for the several music communities on Hive that motivates you to do something new, It's amazing how much more critical you become when you're listening back to your own playing. Get that your phone always with you inspiration can come anytime ok😅.

(4). Collaborate with other musicians: This year there is no dulling for me, I am already in talk with some of my favourite singers on discord, we would be collaborating and coming together to bring something better and beautiful.
There's something special about playing music with other people. It's just like your energy is amplified, and you can build on each other's creativity. This year I am not ready to be comfortable, I want more!
Always push yourself out of your comfort zone!.
(5) Writing More Songs:
As a song writer and singer, the Urge to write more is more intense,I write Gospel songs, for Me here is how I get my inspiration:
I start worshipping Spontaneously, all my original worship song brings another one new song after some deep intimacy worship in the holy spirit. Many of my Songs are from that source..
For you it might be to sit quietly and brainstorm on the random ideas of the song you wrote down, some people's motivation is to go a busy side of the city, others can be from another artist, so it can come in many ways.
