I am Oluwadrey, this another awesome Creative Sunday, and for today I will be doing something pretty hilarious and creative, I will be singing a cover of the song: "Elastic Heart by Sia" on an Igbo Highlife beat.
So just to let you know, Sia Elastic Heart genre is pop, Electronic pop precisely and Sia sang the song on key F sharp (F#) on a 130 beat per minute (bmp), while this particular beat I am using for the cover is a type of African beat called Igbo Highlife.
Igbo Highlife is a vibrant Music Genre, that originated from Igbo speaking region of southeastern Nigeria, one thing that makes it distinct is the soothing and infectious rhythm, with combination of Beautiful guitar works and some amazing lyrics. According to Wikipedia, igbo highlife came to have popularity in the late 1920s.

The Song elastic Heart is a powerful emotional song by Sia that expresses emotional resilience, complexities of being in a relationship, especially the one that seems too real and true but ended up disappointing you, just as the song title, it expresses that Her heart is just like a elastic, able to withstand any shock but also there is a vulnerability that if the heartbreak is too much, she might break.
Personally I think this is Sia pouring her heart out and trying to get over some of her previous relationship experiences.

How I get to know about this sound

So I have actually heard elastic heart a long time ago, almost 4 years ago but something hilarious happened, I happened to stumble across a skit when I was scrolling through my Facebook reel, and then I saw one guy (JoeIjo) dancing with this particular Sia Elastic heart in a different version that I ever heard before.
It was so beautiful to hear. So it's was this that prompted me to singing a cover for today's creative Sunday.
For the instrumental: I extracted from the YouTube video, I downloaded the video and extracted the audio out and filtered out the beat using the website (vocal removal.com)
