"Why Veganism Isn't For Me: A Personal Perspective".

Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. So let's dive into today's topic: "Going Vegan".

We often hear the saying "health is wealth," which is right, but what is now the essence of having money if our health is poor? Veganism is a lifestyle that avoids anything related to animal products like meat, fish, dairy and eggs; they only eat foods such as fruits, vegetables, and plant-based.

Have I tried being vegan?

No, I haven't tried veganism before. Currently my health is fine, and I also enjoy eating animal products, so I don't see the reason to go vegan. The idea of me giving up on meat and animal products seems so difficult for me. Even if someone insists or tells me to go vegan, I would find it amusing because I love eating animal products except goat and ram meat, so why go vegan? I know that eating vegan food is good, nourishing, and even healthy for us, but the thought of me going vegan is a no-no.


How long could I stick to a vegan diet before falling back to my old ways?

I believe I could only last about three days on a vegan diet before falling back to my old ways, because the temptation to eat animal products or meat would likely be strong. Anytime I want to eat, I always make sure that animal products or meat are in my food, such as meat, fish, ponmo (cow skin), eggs, and chicken. I believe that if I switched to vegan food like vegetables and fruits, I would eventually crave animal products because I am not used to going vegan. For example, I go vegan, and one of my friends invited me to an event, and I noticed that I was the only one eating vegetables while the people in the event were eating cow meat, fish, and chicken. No matter what, I would be tempted to eat either of the three.

Do I feel that being a vegan is a healthier way of living?

I can't say because I haven't experienced veganism myself; only those who are vegan can tell if going vegan is healthier or not. Even we can't say that animal products are not good or beneficial for our health because the doctors always advise their patients to eat anything related to animal products because of how they help the body. If I want to go vegan, I will find it difficult and challenging to stick to vegan food, because of my craving for animal products. Only those who have grown up vegan might find it easier.

Do people go vegan?

Yes, many people choose veganism for health reasons. Some might go vegan to improve their digestion, some because of heart issues, and some because of weight management.

In conclusion, like I said earlier, people choose veganism for heart reasons and the need to live a healthier life. Though I don't say going vegan is bad, even going vegan is good because of our health, but what work for you might not work for me.
