Why sacrificing for others may not be worth it.

Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Let's dive into today's topic.
Why should I sacrifice myself all because of peace? In this life, we have to sacrifice a thing for a particular cause, but before we can sacrifice the thing, we must first think about whether it will be worth it in the end or not. Even some sacrifices people make have always been in vain.
Human beings are ungrateful, and they are not appreciated at times. Sometimes we will sacrifice something for the sake of someone, yet we will regret it later because the person we sacrificed something for didn't show an act of appreciation or gratitude. Even, why should I sacrifice myself just to save people from poverty and diseases when we have leaders? It's the duty of our leaders to tend to our needs, but No, everyone is busy looking out for themselves and their families.
Even the government and politicians, and all those high people, are the ones stealing from their people. Even though Jesus died for us to wash our sins away, still people didn't appreciate or show the act of gratitude for the sacrifice Jesus made for us by putting his own life down. Then who am I to sacrifice my own life? Though I can sacrifice my things for people, I will never try to sacrifice my life for people when I know how heartless and ungrateful they are.

We have some people who will sacrifice themselves or their lives for their loved ones, but for their loved ones to show their gratitude, they will only pretend the person didn't sacrifice their lives for them. Even If someone died today by sacrificing their life, then it's a waste of sacrifice because people won't care for their sacrifice.
There's nothing you will do for human beings that will bring satisfaction to them. In this life, if you sacrifice your life for them, they will blame you or turn against you, saying they sent you to sacrifice your life for them. I can still remember those who sacrificed themselves during the End SARS protest; they only wasted their lives because nothing changed about what they fought for.
To me, those who should sacrifice themselves are those who have enjoyed the benefits of this world, e.g., our leaders; they should be the ones to sacrifice themselves after all they have enjoyed in this world. I value my life more than anything. I am too small to sacrifice my life because I am still starting my life.
Do we think if anyone sacrifices their life it will make this world better? No, it won't, even It will be the same because everyone will be enjoying their life by ignoring the person who sacrifices his/her life for them.
Instead, let us focus on God to change everything for us rather than sacrifice ourselves for people who will never appreciate our sacrifice.

Anyways, like you said, sometimes people can be very ungrateful sometimes and they can be wicked even when you give them the world.
Everyone have their own opinion but I would really like to see a world of peace like it was promised.

Reminds me of a story a friend once told me about how she babysitted her sister for 2-weeks in the hospital for her to undergo a surgery. The sister got better and started questioning the kindness. She was even going to pay her own sister off(my friend) for staying with her all through in the hospital. Poor girl that halted everything she was doing to cater for her sick sister and that's all she gets in return.
For the world to be a better place, it has to be collective. It lasts longer that way
That's people for you, they will never appreciate someone's effort for them, even they will still be blaming them for it. What the sister of your friend did was uncalled for and ungrateful.
