"Why Christian Religious Studies Was My Favourite Subject in School."

Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today's topic is from Hive Reachout, and the topic is "My Favourite Subject in School," so let's dive in.
Back in my secondary school days, out of all the subjects we were taught, my favourite subject was Christian Religious Studies (CRS). No matter how I struggled with other subjects, especially mathematics, since I hated the subject to the core, CRS was one subject I always looked forward to, and I made sure to give my best to it. It wasn't just about passing the CRS exam, but I genuinely loved the subject with all my heart.
I can still remember how excited I used to be anytime it was CRS class period. At that time, we always had the class every Friday by 11:00 in the morning. Anytime I saw our teacher coming to teach us the subject, I would quickly move forward so I could listen to her and enjoy the class. Anytime I was going for the class, my Bible was with me 24/7 because I knew we were going to read the Bible. And anytime our teacher asked us to open any Bible passage, I was already there because I had already written down the Bible names and numbers at the back of my CRS notebook, which made it easy for me to open. My teacher always praised me for being so quick in opening the Bible, making all my classmates jealous, and gossiping about me, but did I care about what they said about me? Not at all, because why wouldn't I be like that when we are talking about my favourite subject?
The reason why CRS stood out for me was because I could relate to it. I grew up in a Christian home where my grandparents were reverends, and we were taught about God and the Bible. So whenever I was in CRS class, it felt like I was just learning more about what I already loved. The stories inside the Bible were not difficult for me to understand because have already knew some of the stories through my grandma, unlike a subject like mathematics, where you have to solve formulas and you must not mix them up if you truly want to get the correct answers.

Another reason that made CRS my favourite subject was the peace I felt whenever I was reading it. There's one thing about me: if I'm sad and trying to divert my attention by reading storybooks or watching movies and I see that there's no improvement, my other option is to carry the Bible and read. Once I'm reading my Bible, I always feel calm and peaceful.
I also enjoyed how interactive the class used to be. CRS class wasn’t boring, it was fun to attend, and you wouldn't want to miss it for anything. In CRS class, everyone had something to say, because we were all sharing our understanding and knowledge of the word of God.
Even when it came to tests or exams, I hardly struggled with CRS. I could still remember the lessons easily because they really made sense to me. Even though I'm studying another course in university, CRS will still remain my favourite subject.
In conclusion, Christian Religious Studies was not just a school subject for me; it was more like a guide for me. CRS taught me many lessons, like becoming a better person, moving closer to God, and trusting Him. Most importantly, it taught me to always treat others with love and kindness.
