Tiktok and I Have a Midnight Relationship.

Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today's topic is from Midnight Letters which says:What app are you addicted to at midnight? So let's dive in.

Honestly, if there's one app you can catch me using at midnight and I won't even deny it, it's TikTok 🤣🤣.

The funny thing is that I don't always plan to stay long on the app. I'll just say, let me watch one or two videos before I sleep. But before I know it, one hour has passed and my eyes are still wide open, watching more videos.

One thing I have noticed about TikTok is that it's very easy to get addicted because, number one, the videos are short and easy to watch, and number two, they're very interesting and funny.


Last week Friday, I was still scrolling through TikTok around 12:10 at midnight, so I accidentally came across a funny video that made me laugh out loud, forgetting it was already midnight. Until my elder brother called me on the phone, asking if I was okay. Like, can't I see it's midnight already and I'm laughing too loud? That's when I came back to my senses.

On TikTok app, you don't have to get bored because the moment one video ends, you flip to the next one. On TikTok, there are lots of funny videos that will make you laugh, and also emotional videos too. You can be watching funny videos now, then the next minute, you will be watching an emotional video that you won't even know when tears will start falling from your eyes.

Sometimes, if I'm sad about something and I don't want it to bother me too much, and I scroll through TikTok and watch videos, I will totally forget my sadness because it has already distracted me from it.


Also, another reason why I watch TikTok at midnight is because midnight is usually the time everywhere is quiet and calm. No noise, no disturbance, etc. It's just me and my phone. So TikTok becomes that companion that keeps me entertained when sleep is refusing to come. Instead of me just lying down and looking at the ceiling, I prefer to scroll through TikTok and laugh.

The truth is that sometimes it affects me and I won't lie about it. Because after staying up late watching a series of videos on TikTok, waking up in the morning becomes a real problem for me. I will be too tired to wake up and still be feeling sleepy, and sometimes I even get frustrated when they wake me up. And the worst part is that it doesn't stop me from doing the same thing the next night again.

In conclusion, TikTok is the app I'm addicted to at midnight because it's entertaining. Even though the videos are funny and interesting, I need to minimize it at midnight so that it won't affect my sleep too much again.
