I don't know the problem of some parents who love to discriminate between their children, how they will love one child more than the other, how they will give all their attention to the loved child and neglect the unloved one. I don't know why, but when you know that you are going to love one child, then why give birth to the unloved one? After all, the unloved one didn't force his/her parents to give birth to him or her.

You know that loving one child and neglecting the other can cause a lot of problems for the unloved child. He or she will be wondering why they are not loved, what's their problem, and what they have done to deserve the treatment they are receiving.

I was just lying down and pressing my phone, and I don't know why my mind was thinking about those children who are unloved by their parents, as I was just thinking about it, a story came to mind, and I thought I should share it with you people. The title of the story is "The Neglected Child".

In a quiet town, the Anderson family lived in a cosy and charming house.
Stella and Angela Anderson were sisters; they were just three years apart. Stella, the eldest was vibrant, outgoing, and excellent in her school and any other sports activities. All the rewards and trophies she collected were lined up in their parlour to show her achievements whenever any visitors came to visit them. Her parents, especially her mother, showed her to people with pride and gave her all the attention.

Angela, on the other hand, was a quiet and introverted girl, she loved to stay only by reading books, especially stories and solidarity walks in their garden. Despite all her achievements, including how she collected awards for her poetry and art and worked hard to make her parents proud of her, her parents rarely gave her a second glance.

Their mother, Isabella, adored Stella a lot by providing all she wanted, even the things she didn't want. She made sure to provide them for her. Stella was the apple of her mother's eye, the one she loved to introduce proudly to her friends whenever they were doing any social gathering in their house, and she also loved to brag about Stella's achievements and all that she had achieved so far. Angela felt like a shadow, an unwanted daughter of her parents, and she always stayed in the background, unseen and unnoticed, because her parents used to tell her to stay hidden. After all, they didn't want people to know about her.

Angela tried her best to earn her mother's love and attention, but none of her parents gave her the love and attention she wanted. Anytime she brings her poetry awards home, or if she draws something unique for her parents, all they will say is "That's nice, dear," but if Stella gives her award about any of the sports she wins, she will always take her out to get everything she wants.

As the years went by, Stella grew under constant love and affection, while Angela felt isolated and invisible. Every time Angela tries to gain her mother's attention and love, her mother doesn't glance to her side. One faithful day, the family was in the living room when Stella announced her acceptance to the most prestigious and well-known university.

Isabella was overjoyed and proud of Stella, saying, "We know you were born and destined for greatness." Angela, who was sitting in a corner felt sad and stung by those words her mother said, so she gathered her courage to share the news that a poetry book she had been working on had finally been published, but her announcement didn't bother them. All the mother said was "That's nice, dear," then her mother started bragging about the university Stella was accepted into.

So that afternoon, Angela was sad and couldn't endure the pain anymore. That night, as the Anderson family were eating their dinner, she stood up from her seat, but her absence went unnoticed because they were still talking about Stella's great work and what she had achieved. So Isabella finally decided she should go and check on her daughters, but she found Angela's room empty.

She saw a small, neatly written note on her bed saying "To my family, I love with all my heart. I am sorry I couldn't be the daughter you people wanted. I am sorry for the disappointment that has caused you, and I am sorry I couldn't be like Stella. I hope now you will see me." Her mother couldn't understand the meaning of the words she wrote.

So the second day, one of their neighbours came to tell them about Angela's suicide. The whole Anderson family was shattered, especially Isabella, she blamed herself for neglecting Angela and how she was not a good mother to her. She wept for the daughter she had overlooked.

The Andersons were living in guilt over how they neglected Angela, especially Stella. She blamed herself, saying that if not for the fact that she always bragged about her success, her sister wouldn't have died. The Anderson family was never the same; they were living with the haunting memory of their beloved daughter, who died because of their carelessness.

I think this story will teach some parents who tend to love one child more than the other. If those parents don't want to be regretting it, they should start showing love equally to all children before it's too late.

Thanks for reading❤❤❤❤❤.
