Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today's topic is "Social Media," so let's dive in.

If they introduced social media among the courses, it would be a good and great idea and a life changer. Because social media has become a huge part of our daily lives. Many people, especially the young ones, spend a lot of hours scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, etc. We have some people that use it to chat with friends, others to watch videos, while some use it to make money. But as we know that social media has its good side, it also comes with a lot of dangers.

Imagine if the schools taught social media as a course, just like other courses. Teachers would be able to explain how social media works, the risks involved, and how we can use it wisely without danger. This idea may sound good and brilliant, but would it really help students, or would it cause more problems?

One of the main reasons why teaching social media in schools could be helpful is that many young people do not know the dangers of the internet. In social media, we have some people that get bullied, fall into the hands of scams, etc. Many people have lost a lot of their money, reputation, etc., just because they did not know how to handle social media properly. If we can teach students about these risks in schools by introducing social media, they will be able to protect themselves and make better decisions online.

Another benefit is that social media affects how people think and feel. We have some people who love comparing their lives to what they see on social media, and they start feeling like they are not good enough. They see other people posting their perfect pictures, showing off their expensive things, and they start feeling bad about themselves. So teaching social media in school would help students understand that they should never compare their real lives to what they see on the internet.

Also, learning how to behave online is another reason why teaching social media in schools could be useful. Because on social media, many people say or post things without thinking about the consequences that follow. In social media, some people insult others, spread fake rumours about one another, etc. If social media were taught as a course in schools, students would learn about the importance of being careful about what they post and how they should interact with others. For example, like economics, we are taught about economies, our spending, and how to calculate; the same goes for English; we are taught how to read and speak fluently. That's exactly how social media should be(knowing the risk).

However, while teaching social media in schools may sound like a great idea, it also has some disadvantages. And one of the disadvantages is that it could take students attention away from more important courses. If social media is added as a course, it could reduce the time spend on these essential topics, making students focus too much on the internet instead of their studies.

In my own perspective, the better way to approach this issue could be to include social media education in other subjects instead of making it a full course.

Teaching social media in schools has both good and bad sides. On one hand, it can help students understand the risks, protect their mental health, and even create job opportunities. While on the other hand, it could cause distraction for the students by not letting them focus on their studies.

In conclusion, finding balance matters; whether social media becomes a course or not in schools, young people need guidance on how to use it wisely.

It would be a good idea, but then what do they want to teach in the social media that we have no idea of? Everyone knows how to use social media and knows the pros and cons, but they just want to make it happen that way. When it is placed in the school as a course, many people would lose their accounts, and the rate of monetizing it would not be easily met.

As with everything in life, we must use social media with caution and we must know and be aware of the risks we may run.

Exactly, On one hand, it can educate students about online risks and all and On the other hand, it may distract from core subjects. What if social media can be incorporated into existing subjects, it might be a a good one.

Thanks for sharing.
