RE: The Udara Tree

Is this story a myth or true story? To me the lady supposed not to lay down the curse because it's not necessary. Because the guy she loved didn't reciprocate her feelings doesn't mean she won't meet another guy that will love her. Now those who are innocent that stand under this udara tree are suffering from the curse she lay down.
