"If I Could Change One Thing in the World: A World Without Selfishness."

Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today's topic is from Hive-Reachout which says Change One Thing, so let's dive in.
If I had the opportunity to change one thing in this world we're living in, it would be selfishness. I would take selfishness out of people's hearts because selfishness is the major reason why we are facing a lot of problems in our world.
Selfishness is when people only think about themselves and not others, they do things that hurt everyone around them. That’s why we have bad leadership. Many people in power, especially the government, they don’t care about the people, they only about their own pockets, their family, and themselves. They don’t care whether poor people have food, whether the sick are getting better, or if people are able to find jobs. Instead of making life easier for us, they make it hard by leaving roads in bad shape without repairing it, ignore hospitals that need equipment in case of emergency, and so on. If they were truly not selfish, they would have used the country's money to improve everyone's life and make things easier for us.
The same thing happens with crime. Some young people, especially the youths, are getting into fraud, scamming, and doing things they’re not meant to do. And the saddest part is that they do all these just to make quick money without sweating, hustling, or working for it. They just want to live a luxury life without putting in an effort. And even worse, they don’t care whether their actions will affect people around them or not. The selfish ones don’t care. They only focus on what they can gain. If I could remove this selfish act, and people stopped thinking only of themselves, the world would be better and people would live a peaceful and happy life.
This selfish acts also shows in our everyday life. For example, some landlords don’t care about anyone except themselves and their families. That's why they increase house rent even when they know their tenants are struggling to survive. Some people sell fake or expired goods just to make extra money, etc. All these are selfish acts, putting ourselves first and not caring about how our actions affect others. I'm not saying we can’t put ourselves first, but not in a way that hurts others. That’s just wrong and unfair.

Honestly, if people continue living like this, the world will continue to fall apart because everyone will be thinking only about themselves. But imagine a world where people care about others just as much as they care about themselves. A world where we feel each other’s pain and help without expecting anything in return. A world where rich people help the poor out of love, not for praise or reward.
If there's no more selfishness, so many good things would happen. People would work together. Wars would reduce. The reason why wars happen is because people wants more power or control. They don’t care how many people die or suffer, as long as they get what they want.
But if we remove selfishness, everything will be more balanced. People would care for each other, support one another, and listen to eachother. I know this kind of world may sound like a dream to some people, but I truly believe it's possible if we all try. We might not be able to change the whole world, but we can start with ourselves. Instead of acting selfish, we can show love and treat others with respect.
Selfishness spreads slowly and makes people blind to others’ pain. But kindness, compassion, and care spread fast like wind.
In conclusion, if I had the chance to change just one thing in this world, I would take selfishness away. Life may not be perfect, but without selfishness, the world would definitely be better. Instead of chaos and war everywhere, we would have more peace, love, and fairness.
