Unparalleled Human Torch

The older I get, the more I realise how what I learned about adulthood growing up is essentially true in many facets of life, particularly in relationships. They get deeper and even more complicated than you'd see between children. At some point, you just wouldn't talk to some people like you once did, for example.

Being in different places, I have had interactions and connected with individuals and groups. With time, certain people just become part of your life, some for a season and some for life. Yet, these people have their own lives and their own everyday situations.

Considering that no one walks into life with a manual and often has things perfectly lined up for them, they may not always be around, and that's okay.

Establishing a relationship that's worthwhile, something you could cherish, and playing our roles and parts to maintain and keep that relationship healthy should be the mark we shouldn't miss. And so, even if regular conversations are no longer frequent, check-ins and catch-ups can do the trick - something I'm learning to do.

And there's something special about the conversations you have with people, especially the ones you love and care about. They provide a whole different experience than conversations with oneself, which is totally important, and it's the human emotions in them.

When you think of the times that you talked with someone - lover, friend, brother, colleague - and how you felt, the inspirations you got, the encouragement, and things like that, you remember again why "it is not good for man to be alone."

Conversations with oneself are important and powerful. They help with insights into oneself and provide clarity. And so practices like meditation and the mastery of solitude are advised. Yet, connecting with other humans is also advised.

There's that human torch that burns brightly when we share our thoughts, feelings, and experiences with others. With the right people, the flame that burns with empathy, understanding, and support can light our world and warm our hearts.

So even though you could straight up ask AI chatbots questions and they'd (most assuredly) try to respond accordingly, you just won't find that human torch that's so important to the human heart, especially for certain kinds of needs. Human connection is unparalleled.

You have a very wide pool of data on humans and our interactions now, and that's what these AI models are trained on. They learn and leverage their powerful memory, then try to mimic human intelligence but will never get there—for a very long time, at least. What they'll never be able to do is feel, however.

Yes, it's crazy how they can try to be human with the impressive developments that they have now. They already sound human and understand much better now. When it comes to many real-life and practical situations involving human emotions, they won't be able to stand.

Realising that there are actually so many things that artificial intelligence can do now - like the images in this post - as well as jobs it can take, there are specific things that you'd really never want to solely rely on them for. Think of judges, juries, attorneys, and the complexity of legal cases that often require depth of understanding, empathy, and ethical concepts. Therapists, too, and professions of such.

To improve the quality of their services, though, there's so much they can do when they harness the power of AI and augment it in their jobs. To have artificial intelligence take over completely won't happen, however.

I love how you mentioned the importance of human connection. Yes, AI chatbots can try to mimic human intelligence, but they'll never be able to replicate that human torch you talked about.

The role of AI might look good at first, but it's just not the same. If you ask me, human connections and empathy is what makes life worth living.

Totally. If we didnt' have emotions, our imperfections and all, we'd definitely have a much more bland life to live everyday; that's if we'd ever even know without emotions, though. Get it?

Robotic Jay has spoken, what more can I say? As much as these Ai mimic human intelligence and does a lot lately, they still lack that human feelings..the kind of indepth interactions btw humans in certain cases like you discussed above cannot be done by them, so humans will continue to remain relevant and needs AI for assistance in making life more easier.

I really don't see a creation becoming greater than its creator. It's like replacing God as humans. How's that going to ever happen?

What I know is that my little nephews will be bringing different AI and robots in your house one day. Maybe it's me that'll influence them...🤓😁 You're sha not escaping them, Sweet Nkem

Bots have no heart and so there are no emotions and I believe that it will not be possible in the future also. I also think in the case of relationships automated things can't bring any benefit for us.

Just imagine having an AI girlfriend or something. How weird would that be? There's definitely no replacing the standard woman of today. 😁

Conversations with Human-Human have empathy, respect, love and understanding indeed. It builds relationships with people on the base of trust. Although chatbots are efficient to answer many things for the people who are chat addictive but I agreed chatbots can't perform well in this manner as our human fellows do in conversation.

Unless they can build actual human clones with the same chemicals that affect our emotions, then AI can't come close yet. Thanks for the curation, man.
