SpacePods Review: Paying More for the Same Old Earphones?
I bought the Oraimo SpacePods at the beginning of this year after mysteriously losing my previous earphones, the Oraimo Freepods 4. I was excited about the new one, the SpacePods, so I was eager to share a review of it sometime afterwards. I never did, however, and here's why.
You see, the first thing I noticed about the SpacePods was that the packaging wasn't spectacular. I mean, I could care less about the packaging, but for a pair of earphones that cost way more than the one I was using before, it would have been cooler to have something a bit nicer.
The reason I chose to upgrade my earphones and not simply replace them with the same kind was that I was hoping to not continually experience my issues with calls.
The biggest flaw in the FreePods 4 is the call audio. People always complained about never hearing me clearly when I used the earphones. It was a disappointment because they cost a good amount of money. So every time I needed to make calls, I always had to switch to a phone microphone for a good call experience.
So what I hoped was to have this issue eliminated on the SpacePods, since it was supposedly better than the previous model, the Freepods 4, and even costlier. That, however, wasn't the case.
The Oraimo SpacePods earphones have the same problems that the Freepods 4 have. As a matter of fact, I cannot help but feel free, like the SpacePods are just rebranded Freepods 4, which only cost more.
They both have the same build design but in different colors. They have the same type of case, only that the SpacePods have an interesting rough texture that makes them feel a little different. I do prefer the brown colour, though. I eventually figured out that I don't quite like the white and black contrast of Freepods 4.
There's a mobile app for both earphones. And, unsurprisingly, they have the same app functionalities. There really is absolutely no difference between the phones other than their color. It makes me feel like I didn't get my money's worth, and so I didn't deem it necessary to make a review. They're pretty much the same kind of earphones.
And now, the same Oraimo SpacePods cost even more than when I bought them earlier this year. Why that is so, I have no idea. It's not even that great in quality. It just has the face of a popular Nigerian artist.
I still use the SpacePods every day anyway. It's my daily driver, and the listening experience is great for me. I only wish that the call audio was way better.

I have never bought earpiece more than errr “I don’t want to even disgrace myself”. I’m impressed actually. It’s my first time knowing an earphone even has a whole app to operate. Ohh cool stuff.
Don't tell us the price, D. 😂
You have your interest in other things.
Yup. The app is cool, but I seldom use it.
Like for real, it's as if you are buying the additional texture design for that higher price but for calls, that pods is damn flaw ed.
It's a flaw, my guy
What I have in mind is the one you use. That one has better call quality. I don't know why they took that away from the Freepods 3.
It's one of those things in business friend. Big companies brand old things with new name, version and color and sell way higher. You must admit, you were moved by price. Nevertheless, there is a need to keep reputation in business
Indeed, fren. One would expect that a higher price would mean better quality. I was wrong, sadly, and at my own expenses.
There're more and more economical options that compete with the top gama, its price is very good and I like the rustic design.
It actually is one of the more economical ones that have great quality. It's about $20 now. Airpods probably cost ten times more
I think the oraimo spacepods design is much more unique than the free pod. I'm just waiting patiently for the year I'll get myself a earphone 😅
That's part why I went for it. It does look way better.
Get yourself earphones?? How many seconds would it take you, madame Meya? And I know you listen to music quite often.
😅since I have my earpiece, I'm not bothered yet. I'll definitely get one by the end of the year
They sold the new design via a recognised brand name, nothing much except some designs and colour.
I have seen few guys with the latest Oraimo pods and it really looks good. Hopefully, I'd stop using earpiece soon and join y'all Oraimo ambassadors😅😅.
You already know that I have my eyes on the latest model. This time, it's soley because it had better call audio quality and some fancy new features that I find very useful. It's not just within my budget for now.
Greetings friend, that purchase was excellent and today the use of hearing aids has become a marvel, where in my case I have already gone through several due to having some failures like the ones you mention and one pays enough money for that and they do not meet the expectations. However, the ones you mention sound good and I hope you don't have problems and they listen to you when you call.
Yeah. They are okay, at the very least. I am looking to upgrade it, though. There's a new one I have my eyes on. Thank you, fren...
