The fear of looking stupid is holding you back

In one of my previous posts I spoke about the importance of self confidence and how it affects our lives positively. Reassuring ourselves we can get things done without peoples opinion is so important it make us very focus more and it also helps us stick to our plans and goal .

Lately I just realized one of the reason why people don’t get things done just because they think they look stupid or cringe when doing what they like . Some people are so bothered about what people will say when they find them doing certain things so they rather don’t do what they like because they don’t want people to find them. cringe or think they are stupid.

If you want to start a business do it , you want a music career do it , you want to start content creation start don’t feel like people are watching you or finding your craft cringe half of the time nobody even care or watch what you do all those scenarios just play in our head . I know people who have unsupportive friends or family can easily relate because they don’t get support from family or their close friends which is very discouraging but it doesn’t change the fact that you’re trying or putting effort to the things you love doing . There’s no harm in trying to do what you want if it doesn’t work out at least you know you have tried your best and that’s all that matters there’s really nothing to loose .
Sometimes all those people who laugh and never show support wish they are doing what you’re doing, it will be really nice if we don’t take things too hard on ourselves.

I remember how long I have always wanted to start my YouTube channel years back I never made a move all I did was to keep wishing I had content to post on my YouTube channel, I was busy watching others do what I like. just because I felt a certain way and I thought I never fit in to be like them , after so many years of wishing I started posting on my YouTube channel I was happy I finally had the courage to do that. If I had started since when I was interested in starting my channel I would have gone far . What I have realized after starting my channel is that nobody really care those who where interested in my content supported me and that’s what is important .

I also remember when I started posting frequently on my instagram page whenever I see any family or friend member who’s very nosy liking my pictures or story I don’t waste time I’ll just block them immediately sometimes I go to check for their instagram handles before they discover mine and I just block them from seeing my posts. I block them because I think they might hinder me from having fun or being my self on my social media platforms. In other to save myself explanation I rather don’t have them on my socials , I can’t even imagine myself explaining why I posted a meme I find funny to my family members they might take certain post too serious. The importance of social media is for interaction and connecting with people from different parts of the world if they don’t get to know me and the fun side of me how will I interact well with them.

It’s very important we live our lives without thinking about people’s opinion about us people don’t care as much as we think they do .
