The Loud Wrong Conversation
All my life, I've only had three people touch my hair. One of them is my mom who was my only hairdresser up until I left for school. Reaching school, I got myself a particular someone who was always my go to whenever my hair got rough. The third person came into my life, when that particular someone was no longer available, and couldn't make my hair. So, since I've not really had much experiences at the hair salon, my experiences are very limited.
One of the person's that made my hair, resides in the same hostel as me so whenever it was time, we just found somewhere around the hostel that was comfortable. But being in the hostel, we always have people we know, coming to peek at whatever hairstyle you're doing, and rating the stylist's work. So, there was this one time I was making my hair and we were surrounded by some group of girls that knew my stylist.
We conversed about many things and very soon, the conversation drifted to happenings around the hostel. One of the girls began to talk about her roommate. Her roommate, according to the girl, told them she was proposed to few days before. She got back from where she went to spend the weekend, and showed them her ring. But her roommates think it's all a lie. She leaves the hostel every weekend, telling them she's going to her man's place but because they've never seen pictures of the man, they think she's lying.
They not only think she's lying because there's no evidence of the man in her life. The girl has a petite frame so to them, it's even more unbelievable. As she was saying this, the girl in question passed by us and since most of us knew her, we waved each other and she passed.
When the teller was done telling, what came to my mind almost immediately, was 'This girl trusted you guys as her roommates, that's why she told you this. Was telling us this story necessary?' To me, even if the roommates had doubts or found loopholes in her story, they could have just discussed it as roommates and left it there. There wasn't any reason to bring it out in the open. But no, we were about 5 girls there where she was telling the story and she kept on talking about how the girl is probably lying. For the fact that she didn't wear the ring around the hostel, and she didn't come back that day, screaming to let everyone know about her proposal, that information should be kept private, shouldn't it?
So far, that's the only gossip I've heard while making my hair, or this is the only one I can remember. And I think the main reason I remember this one is because it left me feeling guilty for hearing something I probably wasn't supposed to hear.

They will all be there and finally see her getting married and will be surprised. And then they will spark new rumors again. I won’t be surprised 🤣
I won't be too. Imagine gossiping about people making progress when you've not reached where they are? 😭😂
That's crazy sha. People could be the actual worst sometimes. So, because she's not tall or thick, she cannot have many? Lmao.
Very rubbish mentality they have there.
