The duo works better

In the world today, AI has impacted us so much that many of our daily actions now revolve around it. From simple grammar corrections, to actual insights on topics we knew nothing about, to business ideas and what have you? AI offers us so much and I'm glad the digital lifestyle community gave us an opportunity to talk about this, through the #digi-prompt for the week -

Say you're starting a company, who would you have work for you, humans or AI agents?

This is a tricky question for me, because employing each party has as much pros as they have cons. Having worked with fellow humans, I've realized that there's definitely no way I'm leaving my company to AI agents alone. Being in a community where everyone has a sole purpose, and can relate with each other, isn't something I'd trade. If I wanted to employ humans, they would definitely be qualified individuals. This would actually avail me the opportunity to compare and contrast ideas.

I believe every company, or in this case, my company will have it's personal strategies and methods it operates on. Every company has that idea that is theirs. Ideas that could always be made better. Ideas that could always be improved from different point of views. That's something I don't think AI has the ability to do, yet. AI only gives ideas based on what you instruct it. It gives the output of whatever you input. To me, the only way this would work is if I, the owner of the company were a genius. Like I could brainstorm ideas alone and have my agents execute it and all will be fine.

But even if I was a genius that didn't need human input, I wouldn't gladly open a company and be at peace, when I have only AI agents to work for me. They'd go about their jobs well, that I know. But if you've watched the movie I-robot, and after seeing how almost everyone depended on AI to do things for them, the robots developed ulterior motives towards those depending on them, I should know not to entrust everything to AI. But then again, AI gets the job done more efficiently and more effectively when prompted properly, than humans.

Therefore, in a situation like this, carrying out the duties, will be left for AI agents but the brainstorming of ways through which we satisfy our clients would be dedicated to the humans. Efficiency and smooth running of day-to-day businesses, I'd leave that to the AI agents.

So, if I were starting a company I'd employ the services of both. What matters is the smooth running of my company's day-to-day needs.

Thanks for reading.

Indeed. Having Humans who know how to effectively use AI would be great. The two work together in my opinion. Just like you, I don’t think I can rely on AI. Especially since it’s been proven that it’s not always accurate.
