Clarity Right in Your Face
There are days where it feels like 24 hours in a day, is not enough to do everything I want to do, and if possible, time should be extended for a bit longer. I mean, the days are passing by so fast, and if you don’t do what you’re supposed to do today, you’ve lost that opportunity forever. You’d never get another today.
Most times, we’re trying to make every passing day worth it. Overworking ourselves, just so the day doesn’t go without anything to show for it. However, there are times where it feels like everything one has been doing so far, has amounted to nothing. I remember when I was younger, and I’d not do a chore my mom sent me. She’d ask me why, and I’ll tell her ‘I was busy’. Her usual response then, was always ‘You’ve been busy? Busy doing nothing’. I found the statement weird at the time, but now that I’m grown, I understand completely, what it means to be busy doing nothing, lived it even.

Being busy, isn’t always about the outcome of what you did. Someone who doomscrolled for two hours, could be tagged as busy. A person could stay, watching irrelevant tutorial videos, and still classify themselves as busy. It just boils down to what an individual wants.
A person who actually wants to make progress, knows to prioritize everything that’s in line with his or her goals. You can’t have plans to build an aero plane, and spend so many hours of your day watching videos on fashion designing, simply because it’s your hobby, No. If you really wanted to see progress from being busy all day, focus, and choose what you want the most, over everything else. Do the right thing, at the right time, so you don’t end up feeling stuck after spending 6 hours doomscrolling, and spending just three hours doing what you’re supposed to do.
One other action, that helps erase the feeling of being stuck, is tracking your wins. Constantly working and working, waiting on large wins could be a reason why one feels stuck in situations, whereas in reality, they aren’t. They’re simply failin to recognize the little achievements they make daily. How does one get out of this though?

There’s this method i came across randomly on social media, and it’s helped me so well. At the end of everyday, I like to think the events that happened, write down what i achieved during the day. Doing this daily, doesn’t only give you something to look forward to, it helps you realize how much progress you make daily, that didn’t seem like such big deal. And when these achievements continue to pile up, you’d be shocked at just how far you’ve gone.
If you prioritize your daily activities, and appreciate the small wins, there’s no way you won’t get rid of that feeling of being stuck. There’s no way you’ll stay consistent, and constantly have your wins staring you in the face, and still be stuck. Safe to say, you can’t be stuck when there’s clarity right before you.

That aspect about appreciating small wins is so true. We often wait for when we would suddenly "blow" before we realize how far we've come. Growth is a gradual process and we have to keep that on mind while we keep working smarter.
Thanks for sharing such helpful tips. And of a truth, we should learn to see and appreciate even the slightest win.
