Wednesday Walk That Scared Me - The Roaring Thunder

August 6, 2024, this was one of the most unforgettable experienced I even had in my entire life. I noticed the whole day was cloudy though we had the rain everyday and night. Last few months ago, we had the sandstorm season and it is normal for us every year. But the heavy rain, storm, roaring thunder and lightning that never stop for almost two hours was the scariest experienced, I thought it was the end of the world.

I know the danger of the lightning when it hits me but I was not scared. I go out taking video and filmed the situation. My lady boss shouted me to close the door because she was afraid ofy safety when my wifi and mobile phone was open. I was talking to someone in the messenger that time so I didn't want to disappoint him while he was so sad. While watching the swaying leaves of the plants, olive tree was falling down, the big rain drops like stones falling, the thunder and fire line in the sky like a current stroke anywhere. It never happen before and that was the only night my heart felt I was ready to die if the lightning would hit me. I never know it ignited my heart and brought me to cry. I didn't know why but that was I felt. I realized like a message from God!

I filmed the surrounding of our place, flooded and the street was not visible. It was raining until dawn.

But looking the far away mountains, I saw its beauty. This place is 1 hour drive from home. Before the building of some infrastructure of the city, the foot of the mountain was visible including the dead vulcano.

1995 STORY

I remember when my son was 5 years old, we were going home from our store, we had no car but a improvised bike having a sidecar for hauling eggs. I was a wholesaler before of eggs, oil and bakery supply. Along our way home, there was already rain. We went home late because I was listing for my order on the following day.a
In the midst of our way to our rented house, the lightning hitted the steel bar of the side car and encircled us, me, my husband and my only son. But we arrived home safely.

What happened the other day here in Saudi Arabia was the none stop roaring of thunder and lightning. In the Philippines, I knew that during the stormy day, there was no thunder and lightning and it just happened when it rained normally. When thunder came, it means that the rain is over.

Walking in the Plaza

I checked and walk in the morning to see what happened in the other side. I was also making my early morning walk and I saw how the graceful plants and the pigeons having fun together in the flooded area. I remember the story of Ark of Noah.

The dates and all plants looked so great.

The remaining water looked like a lake made the place so beautiful though it is still on progress. Men are working hard for the accomplishment soon. What I loved was the reflections of the houses in the stagnant water.

So lucky that I able to peep the dead volcano in my way while walking.

I was scared, worried but after the day, I felt better than yesterday.
