What Matters?

Which of these matter?
Because sooner or later,
Life is going to throw this question at you,
If you've got no wisdom, you are going to lose,
And life loves no loser,
So you have to think and choose.
Which of these matter?
Living for yourself or others?
Allowing shallow words of human
Drain you of your joy?
Caring for what people have to say about you,
Tolerating all the negativity?
Or shutting your ears to fleeting human comments
So that your joy can be full, not relying on people's comment,
And just doing what comforts
And makes you happy,
Welcoming only positivity?
Look keenly and choose,
Weigh your options,
Your response determines your survival.
You either trade your joy
For people-pleasing or
Trade the people for your joy.
Which of these matters?
Choose well, get wisdom,
Make sure not to lose,
At the end of the day, if you lose,
This same life you traded your joy for,
Is going to desert you.

In life we must make right choices.
And for me chosing positivity summarizes everything.
Just as true as you said, if we end up losing because we didn't prioritize ourselves and our affairs over others, we'll end up being deserted. Just like in one of your previous poems, the world will move on.
You know reading this poem reminds me of a decision I took some time ago and that's because I realized that the best way one can offer anything to his neighbours or to his society at Large is to make the most of himself. So when making choices, it's good that we prioritize our wellbeing.

What a great writing friend, it's like that, we must try to get as much time and benefit as possible with people especially with those we love the most, enjoy, live and have memories to not feel at all bad when they leave this earthly plane, we just have to live more and complain less, great writing friend ♥
When a person has to die one day and a person wishes as much as he wants that his life will never end, this has never happened in his life. This is a thought provoking poem. You know one important thing we must know is that, we can not please everybody. In life, we can not live for ourselves and we cannot live for others either. Which means we have to make our choices wisely because if we choose living for ourselves, we will loose at the same time, if we choose living for others, we will loose our mental health again. There is loose in everything we do, so the most important thing is to balance it up. Live for people but don't forget to carry yourself along.because if you loose, you are the only one who looses, so it is important to always make ourselves the first priority in life before people. We need to be well and strong before we will be able to carry others along.
We have to be strong. We can't please everyone. As someone would say, we are not jollof rice so we can't make everyone happy...even jollof rice won't make everyone happy hahaha.

Hummm 🤔 this is serious poem message to everyone who have wisdom to interpret it. We all need you to pray to God whenever we are making decisions to choose. Every human wants that his life never ends and live all his life in this world, but as we see that as the age of a person increases, then the person has to face a lot of problems and not the person. Then he himself cannot walk properly, nor can he do anything else, and then a person becomes dependent on others, so the dependence that occurs is very bad.
