How I Spent My Sunday

So normally Sunday means holiday right But not for me because of some pending work So today even though it was Sunday I had to wake up early I got up around 7.30 AM After waking up I laid on the bed for a while 'cause it was a bit cold and honestly I didn’t feel like moving But then I remembered I had to go to office So I got up did my daily routine—brushed my teeth took a shower got dressed—and left for office

On the way the traffic was light probably 'cause most people were enjoying their Sunday at home I reached office and saw no one was there The whole place was silent kind of weird but peaceful I had some pending work left that I couldn’t finish during the week so that’s why I had to come

I started working and after a few hours I started feeling a bit tired I thought let me take a small break So I went and stood near the office window The weather outside was quite nice—cool air with a bit of sunlight While looking out I saw a coconut tree in front of the building There were small baby coconuts on it and they looked really cute I couldn’t resist so I clicked a picture

After relaxing for a bit I got back to work Time passed quickly Around 1.30 PM I started feeling hungry I thought I’d go to the busy market area and grab something to eat But the moment I stepped out it started raining I didn’t even bring an umbrella

So going to the market was not possible I looked around and saw a small restaurant nearby I went there to eat something light—not too expensive but enough to fill my stomach I ordered a simple thali with some roti dal and rice The food was okay nothing fancy but it worked

After lunch I went back to the office and finished my remaining work By 730 PM in the evening I finally packed up to leave As I stepped outside it started raining again My PG isn’t very far but the rain made it hard to walk I had to stop near a small shop for shelter

Lucky for me that shop was selling hot pakoras and tea I was already hungry again 'cause lunch didn’t fill me up much So I bought ₹20 worth of pakoras and a ₹10 tea The pakoras were fresh and hot and the tea was spicy and strong—just how I like it There were two potato pieces and the rest were chili and soft banana leaf ones I stood there eating sipping tea and enjoying the weather It felt really relaxing.

After some time the rain slowed down and I headed towards my PG The road was a bit muddy but I didn’t mind because I was in a good mood after that snack break

Once I reached my PG I saw dinner was ready Some kind of vegetable curry was made I couldn’t figure out exactly what it was it looked a bit strange But I still ate it and surprisingly the taste was good Usually uncle gives two rotis but today he gave three Maybe he saw I was hungry I ate all three and felt full

So that’s how my Sunday went I didn’t get an off had to work but still the day turned out to be kind of nice Sometimes unplanned little things like rain pakoras and a peaceful view from the window make a regular day feel special
