Weekly update (17-03-25)

Today I bring you a post a little different from what you are used to as I want to start a series of weekly updates to keep track of my growth on the platform week by week.
Hoy les traigo una publicación un poco diferente a lo que están acostumbrados ya que quiero empezar una serie de actualizaciones semanales para ir registrando mi crecimiento en la plataforma semana a semana.
In these publications I will take into account the Ecency Points, obviously the Hive Power, the Hive, the HBD and the delegations received. In due course, if I make any Hive Power delegations to another account, I will also add them to these updates.
En estas publicaciones tomaré en cuenta los Puntos Ecency, obviamente el Hive Power, los Hive, los HBD y las delegaciones recibidas. En su momento, si llego a hacer alguna delegacion de Hive Power a otra cuenta, también lo añadiré a estas actualizaciones.
To start, I'll talk about Ecency Points, which this week I earned about 400 points thanks to my activity on the @ecency mobile app.
Para iniciar, hablaré de los Puntos Ecency, que esta semana gané unos 400 puntos gracias a mi actividad en la app móvil de @ecency.
With this, I managed to reach a total of 1782 points, of which I used 1500 points to buy a 7-day HP delegation.
Con esto, logré alcanzar un total de 1782 puntos, de los cuales utilicé 1500 puntos para comprar una delegación de HP de 7 días.
Due to this transaction, I was left with 282 points of which I used 100 to reward @seckorama for reaching Lucky Number 19 in @melinda010100's Ecency's Leaderboard weekly report.
Debido a esta transacción, quedé con 282 puntos de los cuales utilice 100 para premiar a @seckorama por haber alcanzado el Número de la Suerte 19 en el reporte semanal del Leaderboard de Ecency de @melinda010100.
I was left with 182 points, but due to placing 9th in the Ecency Leaderboard this week, I received 300 more points from @melinda010100. That leaves me with 482 points.
Me quedaron 182 puntos, pero debido a haber quedado en el 9no lugar del Leaderboard de Ecency esta semana, recibí 300 puntos más de parte de @melinda010100. Quedando finalmente con 482 puntos.
Moving on to Hive Power, today I have 287 HP in my personal staking. Apart from that, I have a delegation of 50 HP from @apis.hive thanks to having 3 Honey Pots in their program (today I got my 4th Honey Pot) and with the 1500 Ecency Points I mentioned above I bought a delegation from @ecency of 208 HP, which makes a total of 545 HP.
Pasando ahora al Hive Power, hoy cuento con 287 HP en mi staking personal. Aparte de eso, tengo una delegación de 50 HP de parte de @apis.hive gracias a tener 3 Honey Pots en su programa (hoy obtuve mi 4to Honey Pot) y con los 1500 Puntos Ecency que mencioné anteriormente compré una delegación de @ecency de 208 HP, lo que hace un total de 545 HP.
Regarding Hive today I also received 2 HIVE from @melinda010100 for achieving 9th place in this week's Ecency's Leaderboard, giving me a total of 16 HIVE.
Con respecto a Hive hoy también recibí 2 HIVE de parte de @melinda010100 por haber logrado el 9no lugar en el Leaderboard de Ecency de esta semana, lo que me da un total de 16 HIVE.
And regarding HBD, I recently added 5 HBD to my savings, thus completing 10 HBD in my savings and leaving 5 HBD liquid for a future transaction to HIVE and perform a Power Up. I do not switch them to HIVE directly so that I can continue to add to my savings as soon as I reach 10 HBD again.
Y en relación a los HBD, recientemente agregué 5 HBD a mis ahorros, completando así 10 HBD en mis ahorros y dejando 5 HBD líquidos para una futura transacción a HIVE y realizar un Power Up. No los cambio a HIVE directamente para poder seguir añadiendo a mis ahorros en cuanto alcance 10 HBD nuevamente.
Without further ado, I'll leave my weekly report up to here, as I don't really do any more investing in the Hive ecosystem nor do I have much knowledge about Hive-Engine tokens. See you next Monday.

So from what I understand, you only get ecency points when using the mobile app and not from the browser. I personally am just using all the HBD that I earn to get delegations to grow my account that way.
No, you earn Ecency points from using Ecency, doesn't matter if you're using web or app, you always earn ecency points. I only mention the app because I don't have a PC so it's more comfortable for me to use the mobile app.
How do you use the HBD to get delegations?
You can requets leases on https://hive-engine.com/lease
Based on the price you pay you will get it filled sooner or later. In the dashboard you can see your leases and how far along they are. If the one who delegates doesn't manually take it back after the period is over, it stays in place so you basically can get some for free after the period is over if you are lucky (curreltly I have active leases for around 2570 HP while I''m getting 1000 more for free). A big part of the cost is basically paid back by curation rewards, so you very cheaply should get the benefits of getting noticed more as your upvote grows and get way more back over time than what it costs. So at the right price it's a no-brainer if you are active on Hive and want to grow.

Indeed, I saw you managed to already make it work by offering a good ROI. It's not always easy to get a delegation filled at a reasonable price and if more users try this strategy the harder it will likely get. That said, you should see your curation reward % go up with a higher upvote (https://hivestats.io/@okarun) to 8%+.
From what I understand, there is a threshold on Hive post payouts lower that 0.02$ get burned. So if you were to upvote a comment and the user doesn't use a service like @dustsweeper (which you should do) if will have been a waste of an upvote and lower your curation rewards. Also, upvotes under the threshold don't get shown in the mentions (at least on Hive.blog) which makes it harder to get noticed.
That's why I aim to have at least around 3000 HP leased. Especially if you are active on Hive and if you want to grow, Leasing some HP should really be beneficial.

Your advice was very helpful. I tried to get a delegation without really know what I was doing and I got it haha.
Now I'm trying to get some swap.hive to try to get more delegations like that.

Putting in somewhat lower offers eventually tend to get taken up but it can take a while. The last one now took ma around 5 days before someone filled it at below 9%. Good luck, I hope it works out and gets you growing on Hive a lot faster!
