Is there a way to make things on my profile private, such as: Referrals, Following, and Followers? Because that would be great. #feedback #question

Why would you want those private? I just need to see your rationale.

Well, I'm a strong believer of privacy, I think it should always be an option, a right not a privilege weather we use it or not. Other than that, any other reasons are my own, and they are subject to circumstance.

The developer of apps also have a right to their preference, don't they? Who should rather conform to the demands of the other, the owner or the user of apps?

well that depends, do you want more developers or more users?

this is a public blockchain, why would those be private?
what are you trying to hide?

Well obviously my following and follower lists.

why? who cares.
TBH you (or me) are not important enough that anyone is even looking at that stuff.

Well I don't want complete strangers to see who I associate with or the government for that matter. I care. TBH thats very naive, you'd be surprised, all you need is to criticize the wrong person or have an angry x-wife lol.

So what if you criticize someone?
Stand up for yourself and don't back down from your beliefs.

Well, its not always safe depending on where you live. Here if you post something that criticizes the government or that makes them look bad, you can expect a visit from the police. Not really a fun way to spend a day.

You're a funny guy. Given your username I'm disappointed, I did not receive an answer to my initial question. Actually I answered more questions to you. A bit hostile and NOT very helpful or encouraging to the new-to-Inleo community.

What are you talking about?
I am not hostile.
It is a public blockchain, I asked why you want privacy and I disagreed with your viewpoint.
Nothing toxic about disagreeing.

I will pray you grow up and learn to have a discussion with other adults.

I asked a question, I needed an answer to said question not a discussion. If I wanted a discussion or that's what I would have asked for. Thankyou for your prayer.

Implying that I have not grown up or that I cannot engage in polite discussion with other adults, is very condescending and disrespectful, not a great way to show off your own abilities for polite dialogue. Just saying

see you can't handle a difference of opinion or language.
hahha!
one day you will be able to handle conversation.
Not everyone is going to be super duper, sunshine and rainbows, respectful to you.

Well if that's your opinion I trust you are qualified and experienced enough to make that assessment, I don't know why you say I "can't handle difference of opinion or language" I've made no criticism of your point of view.

I also was under the impression that we were using English as way of communication, I don't know to what other language you are referring to. I suppose one day I will be able to handle many more things, or so I hope. :)

And yes the world is not always the nicest place, but here we have to make an effort specially when we answer questions to new users. If we want more people to join Inleo and to grow a healthy community, we have to be more welcoming. :)

well the plus side is you can be anonymous, with no need to share your name, do any kind of KYC... There are really active accounts here for 6-7 years and people have no idea who they are.

Yes that is a plus. Thanks for your answer friend its very appreciated. Cheers!

how about someone give me a useful answer. I'm looking for an answer to a question, not more questions or opinions.

those are blockchain transactions, and if you made it private, there would be no way for frontends to show it. you can encrypt messages in transactions, but that is a different story.

I see. I never thought of it as transactions, but it makes sense. I'm still kinda new to the blockchain and still learning how it all works. I really appreciate the info. Cheers!

all of those are blockchain transactions. that is the reason why you really own your account and followers, as no front end or anyone else can take it from you as long you have your account keys.
