Key Points from Zoom Meeting with Brother Daniel and Brother Eli, 4th of October.
Brother Daniel
began by telling us that there are do's and don'ts in Christianity.
According to Matthew 28:20,we should learn to work on and obey the doctrines of Christ so our hearts won't be hardened by sin. And so that we won't be a servant of sin.
Brother Daniel also used John 8:34 to buttress his point. If we are in a situation where we can no longer avoid sin then we become a slave to sin.
According to 1 John 5:16, we learnt that there are classifications of sin and we should know them so we will know how to manage and control them.
There is a sin unto death and a sin not unto death just as in 1 John 5:16.
How to React when we see a brother committing a sin not unto death
We should pray for the person and God will give him/her life. We shouldn't slander or gossip about the person.
Matthew 6:14-15
Here we learnt that we should learn to imbibe the act of forgiveness so that our sins will also be forgiven by God.
1 Peter 3:9
We should do good even to our enemies, and we should not retaliate when someone does evil to us. Ephesians 2:10 also teaches us that we should do good no matter who the person is. No matter whether the person supports our religious affiation or not.
James 1:27 and Proverbs 19:17
God loves it when we give and help others even to those that are not members of our faith.
Brother Eli
Brother Eli expounded more on forgiveness. We were told about the health benefits of forgiving others.
- Peace of mind: statistics and psychologists have proven that people who forgive more have better peace of mind than those who find it hard to forgive.
- Mental, emotional and physical health.
- It reduces the risk of depression and psychological disorders.
- It improves digestion and helps the body to get better rest.
We were also taught the types of forgiveness
- Exoneration: in this type of forgiveness, the trust is restored between the two parties.
- Forbearance: in this type of forgiveness, the trust isn't restored but they have forgiven each other.
- In this type of forgiveness, the offender did not admit his mistake but the other party decided just to forgive. Trust isn't restored too.
Teaching about forgiveness in the Bible
Matthew 6:15 and Matthew 18:22
If you don't forgive, God won't forgive you. Sometimes, when someone wrongs us once we remember it all the time. Even God who did not sin can forgive more than 70×7 times so talkless of us.
Social Experiment
People were interviewed and asked this question "how do you know when someone is lying?" Most of them said the person will be stuttering, he/she won't be able to look at you directly, the person will be sweating profusely, some will even be crying which shows they are lying the more.
Good Works
1 John 6:18
We should increase our good works instead of our words. We should show our love in deed and not more in words. It's not evil to say I love you but let it be more in actions.
Lastly, we should learn whatever good we do God will reward us for it.
MCGI Cares
We saw some of the amazing works that MCGI had been carrying out. Such includes; free medical services to people around the Philippines, free food supplies to people who are not of the same faith with them. One thing I love about the MCGI is that they always put their preachings into action. They do what they say or teach which inspires me more to do good.
Mass Indoctrination
Once again, the Mass Indoctrination is going to take place on the 9th of October and let's all try to attend because it's going to impact our lives a whole lot.

All we ought to do when we see our fellow brethen who might have committed sin which is not unto death God's word said that we gather and pray for such person because through our prayers such sin shall be wiped away by God.
It was a nice review from you
Yes that's it
Thank you
The act of forgiving others is not only for the person good but also ours when we forgive we have peace of mind and we are free from bitterness.
Yes, that's true. Peace of mind is for the both parties involved.
Thanks for stopping by!
