KEY POINTS FROM TODAY'S AMAZING ZOOM MEETING WITH BROTHER DANIEL AND BROTHER ELI, 3RD OF OCTOBER

Good day lovely MCGI Community, Today's meeting was really amazing and awesome, I learnt so many things and I was impacted in so many ways. I'll be sharing the key points from today's Zoom meeting with Brother Daniel and Brother Eli.

HOW TO PRAY
In order to know how to pray well. We should first and foremost check how we used to pray.
Matthew 6:1 and 5 tells us that we shouldn't pray like hypocrites. From these verses above, we can see the manner whereby we should pray. There are certain conditions we need to observe when praying. We were probably taught from our parents on how to pray. We should then use it to check whether they align with the doctrines of Christ.

HOW SHOULD WE PRAY ?
We should pray according to the ways and statutes of our LORD Jesus Christ.
1 Timothy 3:15
Our prayers are very important because we communicate to GOD through them. It is important that the way we pray to God is according to the doctrines and teachings ot Christ.
Philippians 1:27
Our lives should be according to the teachings of Christ.
1 John 5:14
When we pray, God hears our prayers if they are according to His will.

HOW DO WE KNOW WHEN WE PRAY GOD WILL ANSWER?
There are people who are angry with God saying they're praying yet no answers.
1 John 5:14 and John 9:31
God hears and answers our prayers but we should try by all means to keep away from sin.
Most times, when we don't get immediate answers to our prayers we feel God is not listening to us which is not true.

WE SHOULD LIVE IN PEACE
Romans 12:18
This is the time to live in peace with everyone. If someone doesn't accept our opinions or beliefs it doesn't mean we should fight.
1 Corinthians 14:33
God is not a God of confusion but of peace.

REASONS TO BE THANKFUL/HAVE GRATITUDE

1. According to Psychological research it makes us more happy.
2. It has some health benefits e.g it improves heart health etc.
3. It changes the manner of thinking about life.

SOME WAYS WE CAN PRACTICE GRATIDUDE

1. By learning to Say THANK YOU
2. By Praying
3. By Counting Our Blessings
4. By Keeping a Thank You Journal

We should learn to also thank God for everything. We say thank you to appreciate God for his goodness.

RULES FOR THANKSGIVING

We should learn to be content first of all. People without contentment find it hard to be grateful.
Isaiah 56:11
There are people who are not content, they want to have so much that they can't consume it. People who are not content are always grumbling unlike people who are content. People who are content don't need heaven and earth before they are grateful- 1 Timothy 6:5-6

SOCIAL EXPERIMENT

-- Why should we help others?
People were asked the question why we should help others. Most of them said they help others because a day will come when they will need help.
Romans 7:12 and Proverbs 3:27
The good that God wants us to do is his law and we should always do good at every opportunity we get.

ANOTHER SOCIAL EXPERIMENT

A woman and a man went to shops asking for bread and they were given by all the shops. Most of them said it's because they have been in need so they know how it feels which is the truth. I feel if you see people suffering what you've suffered you'll always want to help out.
James 1:27 and Revelations 20:12
We need to learn how to have mercy for widows, orphans and the poor because all the good things we do on earth are recorded in heaven.

The MCGI family donated some foodstuffs and lots of things to an orphanage

We should let our works shine before men so that they will glorify God for the good things we do.

MASS INDOCTRINATION
Let's all try to join in on the mass indoctrination happening on the 9th of October. We will learn so many things that will impact our lives.
