What brings you peace?

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. As individuals, what brings us peace actually varies from one individual to another; what brings others peace might be weird to you, and what brings you peace might be weird to you too, but that does not stop it from bringing both you and them peace. Peace is important, and everyone out there is doing everything in their power to make sure they have it, and when they finally do, they start to do everything possible to keep it and make sure it stays for as long as possible. Peace of mind is quite important; we have all witnessed what it feels like not to have peace of mind and the chaos that comes with it. The lack of peace can cause your mental health to deteriorate faster than anything else can. Nothing causes one's mental health to deteriorate like the lack of peace.

The importance of peace in one's life is why we are always advised to mind who we associate with and who we make our partner because the people you actually associate with or have something to do with either contribute to the amount of peace you get to enjoy or take away the little you have. Associating with the right people brings about the type of peace nothing else can give you. Most of the time, how much peace you enjoy actually depends on the type of company you keep, and many people have realized that and decided to make their circle so small and don't want their peace disturbed.

Like I said earlier, what brings peace to individuals varies from one individual to another. Some of the things that bring people peace might even sound weird to you, but they do bring them peace, and that is all that matters. I saw in a movie where a retired assassin said the only thing that gives her peace is watering her plants and watching them grow. She said it was therapeutic for her, but trust me, to many it does not even make any sense as to why watering plants and watching them grow is therapeutic and is what gives her peace.

At the moment I am confused about which particular thing gives just enough peace. Is it my phone and laptop being fully charged or a well-organized space? I have noticed that when there is no power supply and my phone battery starts to run low, my heart starts to race, causing me to worry about how to power it and make sure it does not go off, and if eventually it does go off, I find myself feeling like a part of me is missing, and until it is back on, I will keep having a feeling that words cannot describe.

I feel exactly the same way when I am in an unorganized space; a room or a house that is dirty or unkempt gives another feeling that I really cannot explain. Sometimes I feel like I am being suffocated whenever I am in an unorganized space or environment, so now I don't know which actually brings me peace of mind, if it is my phone being fully charged or being in a well-organized and arranged space.

Such an interesting read. I totally agree with the phone battery thing -it's like the whole world is about to end when it starts to die. 😄. I also feel way more at ease in an organised space. It's crazy how peace can mean different things for different people. I never thought of the watering plant thing as a source of peace but I get how it could be. Great post, made me really think about what gives me peace

I resonate with the thing about disorganized spaces. I can literally go bananas seeing my space looking like a war zone. And when I’m done arranging, oh there’s this joy!

And yea the part about the assassin saying watering plants give her peace is not so weird after all, maybe surprising that it’s coming from an assassin but yea not that surprising.

A really wonderful piece my dear.

Disorganised places takes away ones joy but once you manage to get it organised you are left smiling sheepishly.
