War Always Leaves A Mark.
Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. Lately we have more wars and conflicts trending as headlines than peace talks and countries coexisting peacefully. In those days we have at least 80% of countries living in peace with one another and coexisting peacefully, and the remaining 20 can be in disagreement but will hardly go to war against each other because we all know that war leaves a mark. A country, state, city, or village that has experienced war might never recover from it; it is very difficult for a country, city, or state to recover from a war because the type of mark war leaves behind is the type that cuts deep and requires longer than we can even imagine to fade away.

When I open my social media account, especially X (formerly Twitter), and decide to go check what is trending, it is disheartening to always see that there is either one war or conflict among the trending jesters or headlines. Our world might not have been completely peaceful before now, but it was a lot more peaceful than what we have today. Today, we have more countries at war than we used to have; today, we have many countries that were at peace now experiencing internal crisis and a group of people terrorizing the entire country and putting citizens on the run, forcing them to flee their home towns for safety.
It was Russia invading Ukraine, and despite attempts to arrest the situation and stop the war from escalating, even after some countries tried to intervene, all efforts to make that happen proved abortive, and now it has been over 2 years since the war started, and at this point it is clear that it is not ending any time soon. Some even countries that tried to avert the war from escalating are now choosing sides and providing aid, thereby prolonging the war even more.
Now the recent trend is the war and bombings between both the US, Israel, and Iran; it has been a week filled with bombings between all the countries, causing innocent civilians and military personnel to lose their lives over a war that is not really worth it.

What I think about the wars we have happening around the world today is that we humans have become more barbaric; instead of creating a world where we can live and coexist peacefully, we have created one where we sleep with one eye open just in case we need an emergency evacuation. Like I said earlier, our world was a lot more peaceful than what we have today, and that proves it: we humans became more barbaric instead of becoming more human.
